| Not Ranked : 0 score You can go that route, which may require tapping sending units in place or you can do what I did and buy a PLX Kiwi WiFi, which connects to the OBD2 port and transmits wirelessly to an ipod touch/iphone using the Rev2 software. It gives you a whole host of data, it's pretty cool and its very acurate. The one drawback: It can be costly if you don't already own an ipod touch or iPhone. Not having that Temp Guage was driving me mad.... This gives me the temp guage and then some! |

You aren't tied to the Rev2 software (although its damn good). I am thinking of giving Dash Command a try as well. Oh yeah: This also allows you to check/reset engine codes as well as data logging. :-)

| Not Ranked : 0 score the kiwi iphone solution sounds neat but the problem with using for a temp gauge is now you have to make an adhoc wifi connection and start one of the iphone apps every time you go in the car. for datalogging and code reading, it would be fine though. |

I have no affiliation with these guys but I love this little toy. It allows me to see what's going on (5 readings on 1 screen) and if you get any check engine codes, etc you can see what they are and reset them - Not that I've had any on my MS3, but it is very portable and can be used on any car with an OBD2 port.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I just looked up the REV software and I don't believe they are supporting anything outside of the Apple line. I would be surprised if that doesn't change though, there are a lot of AnDroid based phones out there and a pretty sizable app market for them. I have my iPhone in the car at all times and am def going with the Kiwi. With the cobb dp, I can install a wide band o2 sensor and use the kiwi to monitor it. Very sweet setup. Thanks for the headsup. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score yeah i just got the prosport gauge, 30 mm hose adaptor and the gauge pod for the 1st gen. I just cut the radiator hose right by the intake and put it in there... Im getting anywhere from 145-160 degrees.. and its 10 degrees outside so i guess that sounds right. I just wish i could get the silver surrounding off the vent so it would look better |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Cause if you never notice our 2nd gen never came with a stock temp gauge. If your car is overheating it will only give you a light on the cluster. So it be safe for us to look at a aftermarkert gauge and see where our temp is for our cars.

| Not Ranked : 0 score this is pretty cool. I may just end up buying a ipod touch just for this. But second thought on this , if you dont HPDE your car, what is the use of monitoring exact water temp? When is the last time you have overheating coolant? The stock temperature indicator gives you enough progressive warnings ( yellow when things get warm and red when things are too hot). |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I'm posting a little late. For the dude that has the Porsport gauge with the vent pod, I have the same, but boost gauge. To get the stock silver shit away from the rest of the vent, you need to press down on the side clips. After that, you will have the silver part out, but the complete vent part doesn't come off that. You need to take a dremel to it to grind it to size. I had the Prosport boost gauge on mine (pics are on another thread somewhere). I have since moved the boost gauge to the steering column and put the AEM UEGO in the vent. |
