(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I'm trying to decide whether a 235/40/18 has more fender clearance or a 245/35/18 has a less likely chance of rubbing. I've decided on a set of wheels that are 18x9.5 +38. Now to fit this on a 2012; I'm wanting to go with the 245/35 series but if a 235/40 series is going to rub less then ill deal with the stretch. The tire calculator points to the 245/35 being smaller in every area except width. Would the smaller height give me a better advantage of fitting these wheels? I ran 18x9 +35 with 245/35/18's in the past with no issues so I'm leaning towards the 245/35's. A second example that I've ran on this car are Evo x wheels 18x8.5 +38 with 245/40's. These had more rubbing issues than my 18x9 +35 with 245/35's. But I've never tried any wheels with 235/40 so that's my long lost question. Which works best? Rear fenders are rolled and bumper tabs are shaved off. I'm lowered on Sonic tuning coilovers but its more of a spring drop height. Front camber is -1.4 and rear is -2.3. Thanks

245/45 would not fit on my stock car (rubbing) So just go for 235/40
