Fall Dragon Camp

We've already ironed out the dates for fall dragon camp. dates will be as follows. This event has grown every time and we expect this one to be no different.

October 22-25 2015

Several other places in the area for lodging as well. It will be a little bit more relaxed than ENM@MDC. We just plan to cruise around during the day and take in the great local roads and views. Each night is spent around the campfire drinking and having a good time with friends. Be prepared for AMAZING fall colors.


Prepare for cold weather. We did this Halloween weekend last year at it snowed. Although not typical for this area, be prepared.


This post will be update with info as the event comes closer. Plans as of right now are to have a big community dinner at the campground saturday night.

I'm gonna try. It will be a pain in the dick to drive out there Friday after working til 5am, but I may have someone to drive me. I also passed the word to the other AR peeps, we might have a few new members join us.

Of course, all assuming my car is still running by then. So 50/50.

Does anyone know if there is any power availability at the campground? If not I will have to hotel it due to needing my CPAP to sleep.

There are several RV sites that can be reserved. Theses sites have power.

HMMMM... I wonder if they would let me reserve an RV site and then just put my tent on it. Then I could run an extension cord in for the CPAP. Maybe a couple people could share an RV site for a few tents.

Yea man thats what we did this last ENM. Going to do it again this next MDC. We should try and get all our sites in a row for closer snuggles.

I sandwiched myself between two heated blankets, inside a sleeping bag, and it was still fucking cold that first night. @NavySailorMS3; slept in shorts lol. You coming to this one???

I'm liking this idea. Electric blankets, power for my CPAP, and organized camp sites for maximized snuggles.

Not sure if I will make this one, but if we do it again next year, you can count me in for sure. But this time I will be prepared for 33 degree temps. we don't get that here in Florida, so I was not prepared, lol.

Yep we had 3 tents up at one site. And mine is fucking giant 20x10 cabin tent. Lots of room. But bring extension cords and surge protectors/splitter as there is only 2 outlets.

Yes, cabins are booked. But they are booked by us, so that will be the weenie roast area again!

We camped in tents at the RV site next to the GA and AL boys for ENM@MDC. It was a blast, hope to see everyone there again. The bathrooms and showers are very nice for a camp facility, there are tables and fire pits at each RV site so no need to bring a table with you.

Yea it was really awesome chilling with OK and AL @JgamB; you coming to this one brother??). The showers were nice and hot. Just make sure you bring flip flops cause my feet still feel gritty

Tent sites are $15 a night and can fit 2-3 tents each.

No tents are provided.

You bring your own camping supplies. Picnic tables, charcoal grills, bathrooms, and showers are essentially the extent of what is provided.

Tent Sites:
- First Come First Serve
- $15 per night
- 2 to 3 tents per site

RV Sites:
- Reservable
- $20 per night
- Power & Electric
- 4 to 5 tents per site

I believe only the "Standard Electric" sites (numbers 18 - 23) are the RV sites, which are reservable. I don't believe the Non-Electric sites are reservable.
