Fall Dragon Camp "Tune up" 2015

We all make changes to our car from time to time, and before taking on a big event it helps to try and get any bugs out that you can. For this reason I am heading to the Dragon, tentatively August 28th but stay tuned, to make some runs and adjustments that Saturday before we had Fall Dragon Camp in October. If anyone is interested in making this a miniature meet of sorts just post up!

I have a 3 room, 20x10 cabin tent that pops up in like 5 minutes. The weather will, hopefully, be ripe for camping.

@ssoonr; If you wanna make the "pre" FDC runs with me brother, just lmk. You got a place to crash if you wanna drive Thursday and drive down Friday to break things up a bit.

Its a big maybe for me. I would love to be there but my daughter turns 3 that weekend. I will have to see what the plans are.

im in. the only day i have booked is a little HPDE on august 15th. i cant really take any more days off work, but im only about 45mins away. i could be there friday evening or come up saturday morning.

I don't think I can make it to the Fall Camp, but have been itching to go back after ENM@MDC. So this might be a fair compromise for me so I don't have to wait all the way until Spring Camp. Is everyone going to be camping or will there be anyone staying at the Microtel? I only ask because I feel like the only way I'll be able to come would be if I bring my wife, and unfortunately she won't want to camp. But I don't want to be the only one stuck out at the hotel haha.

My speed will likely be in Knoxville until October, so I'm probably going to be in. I'm still going to be in Knoxville on the weekends for the foreseeable future. We aren't planning on selling our house until November.

So yes, 90% chance I'm in for this.

Thinking about it a bit more... I may keep the speed in Knoxville until dragon camp. Then rent a Uhaul trailer, bring it to camp, then tow it to Louisville once camp is over...

I need to get meth before FDC....TMIC be baking homie. It's a tad over 100 here today and I'm getting BATS in the 120s, which I guess isn't bad for having an uncoated and unshielded manifold right under my IC.

But in other news I am moving to Louisville a week from today. I'll should be able to nail this down to an exact date shortly.

We closed on our house Friday! Spent the last two nights there. I'll be back for this week as well. There is a TON to do, but we're ready to get going on it all.

Meth is my next move as well. I have a pump/controller/tank already. I need lines, a failsafe, and a retune. It's on the back burner for now though.

I got the DO stuff. Got a great deal on it used and @865ms3; has had good luck with his. Planning to run CoolingMist nozzles and check valves as well. Going to use the little tank I got with my kit until I can afford a 3 gal cell.

I reused my stock windshield washer tank for a few reasons. Love it. 1.25 gallons and even has a low level sensor that lights up on my dash. I thought only Canadian speeds got that but I'll take it all day erry day.

You guys should seriously consider SS lines with like AN connectors. Anything but pushlock. Good luck on failsafes...they all kinda suck it seems. Don't forget the solenoid.

I also cooked my power steering fluid last time I was at the dragon which in turn cooked the pump. Got me a new pump with hi temp ATF and I'm good to go bitches

I run a wideband failsafe. It detects lean @ x psi and it opens the wastegate. Tested and works. Can have it open The bpv instead. The flow failsafes suck.

I've never leaked a drop with push lock...knock on wood.

You guys shouldn't just toss in the towel on things and chalk it up to sight seeing because you are stock. You'd be surprised what the speeds are capable of right out of the box. When I went in April I was on a stock suspension with only SRI, DP, CBE, internals and an OTS tune, I had plenty of fun.

If I still have the car and I'm able to get safe to drive then there's a pretty good chance I'll be down. Not sure how likely those two are though. :/

I think I've seen you posting in Brent's build thread. I plan to go nearly the same route, just with AN lines like you mention. I already have all my turbo feed lines converted and am working on vacuum lines now.

Pretty sure you don't need a solenoid with the DO controller. Is that right @865ms3; ?

Very nice. I have the stage 1 which comes with a pressure switch, not the DVC30, so it could be different. But i was thinking you still need a check valve or solenoid, regardless of controller.

This! I still have the itch from camp and I haven't had a chance to scratch it... My car isn't seeing any more mods until the spring, so I need to get out and enjoy the thing!

Definitely a check valve... I posted that in my original setup post. I'll use the CM check valve with the integrated filter along with the CM nozzles.

I am still looking like a yes at this point, Worst case I have to go the weekend after on September 4th, but with so many looking like a go on the 28th I am doing everything I can to be ready. I don't even have my car at the moment, I'm 2 days into a new job, 5 weeks away from a first paycheck, and the car is still on a basemap. I'm juggling a few things, haha.

Should still think about coming to Knoxville for the 5th, we're trying to get a big surprise meet together for one of our OG members!
