It'll be too hot to camp so I'll stay at the Phillips Motel $45 a night if staying by myself or Microtel Inn if anyone wants to split a room.

Don't live as close as some of my new amigos. But yes, relatively close, and DuPont requires me to travel to Fayetteville, NC every month so I have to go through there anyway....don't have to but I don't mind a bit of a scenic route....

I just found out last week that I will not be able to make this... I have to be in Indianapolis on the 29th at 8am for a crane pick at the Convention Center there. So I'll be up there the 28-29th for a little trip. May try to take the wifey and make a trip out of it. The crane pick should only take a couple hours.

But yea, either way I have to bail

Yep I'm in so long as my moms health maintains. I have a 20x10 cabin tent that sleeps 16. Gotta save them dorras so I plan on camping. Anyone have a portable air conditioner? The RV sites have outlets

Box fan may be enough. Bugs are bad this year due to all the rain so bring spray. If I make it I'll be in an air conditioned room.

I'm almost definitely out. I'm still in limbo hoping to get this car bought back so I really don't want to put any money into it and it isn't in shape to do dragon runs for sure.

Many people that went in spring just hopped car to car riding shotgun if you wanted to just ease your car on down but not run it on the dragon. You can go down with me on a few passes, I think there are a few that will attest that was some fun. I can't wait to take these RS3s down....

Yea man. This spring was my first trip to the Dragon and I took it nice and slow the first day or two. Before I took my car on the Dragon I rode with @phate; which was pure fucking insanity. The first corner he hit harder than I had ever hit in any car. I really regret not riding with him more. I rode with multiple people for over half of the first day and that helped me a lot. Then i chilled in the very back of the bus until I felt like I wouldn't be holding anybody up. Then it was fucking game on bitches.

Jeebus I'm getting a chub just thinking about it.

He owes me at FDC. Then he is going to drive my car and tell me all the shit I fucked up.

I'll see if my roommate wants to go down. He doesn't have a speed but his car should be able to hold its own (bored... Or maybe stroked G35)

I'm going to make a decision in the next couple days and I may go ahead and fix the car. In that case it could be ready.

Cancelled my hotel reservations at the Microtel Inn for next weekend. I'll be camping instead. Forecast for is for a High of 81 Thursday, 82 Friday and 74 Saturday with lows of 62 Thursday, 58 Friday and 60 Saturday. The temps at night are great for camping. I'm off work Thursday and Friday so I'm driving down Thursday morning and should be there around 11am. Not sure yet what site I'll be on and won't spend much time at the campground anyway. We could share a site if anyone else is camping.

I am not going to make it guys, two issues popped up. I have a brake issue with my passenger rear, there is either a rotor issue or the caliper piston isn't completely releasing when I let off the pedal. The pads and rotors have 200 miles or so, and that one sounds like an angle grinder brushing metal whether I am on the brakes or not. My luck, I will probably end up down there the weekend after once I have time to diagnose, order parts and replace.

Second issue is one of my Oklahoma brothers found some OEM parts for his 6 in Cincinnati that he needs badly and has been looking for. I am close enough to take the wife's CX-9 up and grab them this weekend so the guy doesn't sell them to someone else.

Sorry guys, I was really excited for this, but the dragon is no place for brakes that are less than 100%. If anyone can make the following weekend I will see you there, if I end up running alone that's ok too. Have fun guys, I know it'll be a blast!

Check your dust shield on that wheel. It's easy to bend the shield in when working on brakes and it will rub and sound awful but is easily bent back by hand. This happened to me when I installed the FSD's on my car. I just reached down and pushed it away from the rotor.

Several people have cancelled and my only reason for going was because many others were and it would be fun with a group but I've been many times and it's not the same unless you have that group. Since I'll be there in October for MDC and I'll be driving down in September for Scott's wedding I wasn't crazy about making the long drive down this week anyway, love the area but hate the drive down.

I'm out for now too but since I have Thursday and Friday off work I can make the trip on short notice if things change. This will help me save money so I can spend like a drunken sailor at MDC. I also need to save for a built engine I hope to have before Spring MDC.

I will miss seeing all my homo Nator friends in Knoxville but I'll see most in September at the wedding. I do plan to travel to Louisville soon for install meets and would have been there last week if y'all had held it on a day I wasn't working.
