(Thread Starter) | Neutral : +1 score I would say this is an issue for the MPS. Because the frame just doesnt look the same as in JBR's instructions Here's JBR's instructions and pics: http://www.jamesbaroneracing.com/sup...structions.pdf And this is how it looks on my car: As you can see the can will not clear the motor when i tried to install it on that bolt (this isnt even the right place to mount it but it was the only place i could try) So i ended up getting nothing done today :/ Is this a known issue or am i the first MPS dude to buy this kit?? @jbarone @eric@edgeautosport @JP@edgeautosport.com

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score lol ![]() Well i expected this kit to bolt right on with no customizing needed From JBR's site: "Details: JBR MAZDASPEED 6 Stage 1 Oil Catch Can Kit." I work with machines that punches holes in metal sheets, so making a mount will be free, but still! Well i guess i will make one tomorrow and try it out

| Not Ranked : 0 score I'm not having a fitment issue per se... but I just installed my OCC. All the hoses and everything fit great. The only thing that's different is the drain hose. In the picture in the install guide it appears to jut straight out from the can. My drain valve had it's opening on the bottom (that in itself is probably not an issue). However, when I go to turn the silver part to open the valve, the entire valve rotates, drain valve opening included. Anyone have input?

| Not Ranked : 0 score Sorry to necro this thread, but I ran into this same issue with my OCC when I went to install. I cleaned my intake valves this weekend and wanted to install the OCC at the same time. Unfortunately I didn't discover the mounting issue until I had everything apart so driving somewhere to get materials to make a mount for this "kit" was out of the question. Luckily I was able to Macgyver a mount out of a tubular bracket that I had lying around for another project. I simply cut the bracket, heated it up with a torch and hammered it flat. I then bent it at a 90 degree angle and drilled out appropriate holes. I mounted it using one of the threaded holes where the factory air box was mounted. From the center of the hole used for mounting to the 90 degree bend it's approximately 4 3/4". Overall I think it works well, although it's fairly hideous. It clears all lines and other systems by at least 1/2" and the hoses keep it stable. I will likely make another mount using "proper" materials sometime in the near future, but wanted to share what I did for anybody else who comes across this issue. @jbarone; - would it be possible to include a mount like this in the kits for the MS6?

| Not Ranked : 0 score Fyi, edited my post. The measurement is 4 3/4 not 5 3/4. Also, found some scrap 1" X 3/16 cold rolled steel in my dad's garage so I'll be fabbing up the permanent solution soon. That tubular mount is made of thin gauge metal so I'm not gonna take any chances with it bending or cracking. I'll post pics of that when it's done.
