Awesome. I may pick another up since I did not like how much throw reduction the original provided.

specvspeedfreak 09-17-2011 05:53 AM

nice job Jamie..

Skipper 09-19-2011 09:36 AM

I just got my pre-adjustable installed this weekend and I'm not sure if I want to uninstall just for the free upgrade. I'm enjoying this thing too much.

ASHMS3 09-19-2011 09:50 AM

I like the stage 3 with the RMM included. I think the first mod has been figured out. Now if I just had some extra money.

Matrix311 09-19-2011 07:53 PM

how do you adjust the new plate? I have your first gen shift plate installed in my car, what throw is the gen1 plate set to vs what the 2nd gen plate comes with? Will the gen 2 plate go longer and shorter from where the gen 1 plate currently is at?

Stagnation 09-26-2011 11:32 AM

How about a "Stage 4" kit with the shift knob?

I'll be buying all of that stuff once I get rid of my old WRX parts....

No worries, I could just order them together but I'm all for saving a few bucks if I can get them in a package.

Jake5713 09-26-2011 01:21 PM

Pm jbarone I'm sure he will take care of you

SofaKingAwesome 10-04-2011 06:09 PM

Anybody got theirs installed yet? Mine got lost in mail and have to wait again but I am curious about how these new ones are working out

JBR 10-04-2011 07:59 PM

I do. It's cool.

SofaKingAwesome 10-04-2011 09:24 PM

:haha:

SofaKingAwesome 10-08-2011 11:23 AM

It's fancy, works like a champ!

Vater 10-10-2011 07:39 AM

I almost wish I could take advantage of this awesome deal, but I'm perfectly happy with the throws the original SSP provides. If the new plate could offer shorter throws, I'd be all about it.

jracer 10-12-2011 09:55 AM

speed6 ???????????

Does the speed6 get the updated plate also ?

JBR 10-13-2011 07:51 AM

Yes.

Vater 10-13-2011 08:08 AM

Guess my link wasn't proof enough.

silvapain 10-13-2011 08:12 AM

Yep! See the sticky above.

LatinKraze 12-16-2011 03:43 PM

Intsalled the new SSP. I have to give myself a little time to adjust to the fact that the gear is engaged and not locked out of gear. I had to slightly adjust the shifter in cabin and this thing is fuckin awesome now. Shifts feel more tight and precise. I will be doing that ford tranny fluid swap in the near future...maybe as soon as this sunday, lol.

BolnodS3 02-29-2012 09:25 PM

Stage 1 and 2 question

I see stage 2 comes with those bushings and stage 1 does not. I'd like to get the stage 1 to save some cash. Do I need those bushings? What do they do. Thanks guys.

D

Vater 03-01-2012 10:03 AM

The shifter housing sits on rubber bushings, which results in some lateral and fore/aft play when shifting. The solid bushings nearly eliminate this play and cause shifts to feel totally solid. I would absolutely recommend getting the bushings, if not now, definitely later after you install the SSP and realize it could still stand some firming up. :)

taf0422 05-23-2012 06:51 PM

@jbarone

Just sent you a p/m as well, I ordered my rear motor mount and adjuster short shifter plate and it came with missing parts.... :indifferent:

JBR 05-24-2012 08:20 AM

PM Replied.

maynard576 06-11-2012 01:15 AM

I guess I fail and should have pm'ed you prior to ordering. seems the price on the SSP with bushing and the rear mount is cheaper in this thread. Damn. good to know for future reference though. @jbarone

redboat 03-04-2013 12:07 AM

Interested in buying Stage 1, I already have a twm stage 2 short shifter kit. Can they be used together?
