(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score James Barone Racing Performance Aftermarket Parts & Accessories New JBR MAZDASPEED 3/6 & CX7 DISI Turbo Inlet Pipes The JBR DISI Turbo Inlet Hose $165.00 Shipped (Domestic Only) International Shipping Available LINK TO PRODUCT PAGE The JBR DISI Turbo Inlet Hose is designed to replace the restrictive OEM hose with no required modification to the vehicle. It’s large cross-sectional design and smooth transition down to the turbo creates a turbulent free and efficient flow of air to the turbo, increasing performance and improving throttle response. The JBR DISI Turbo Inlet Hose is constructed out of five (5) layers of high performance silicone and four (4) layers of reinforcement, not three (3) like the others. In addition to the reinforcement, the core of the silicone has a wire skeleton wrapped throughout to prevent collapsing under vacuum. The high temperature silicone is far superior at insulating the intake air from extreme engine temperatures then aluminum is. Cooler intake air is denser and therefore capable of making more power. The joiners used to connect the intake and recirculation hoses are made of thick walled 6061 aluminum, beaded then brushed to ensure a secure and leak free connection. There were no corners cut when designing the JBR DISI Turbo Inlet Hose. The additional layers of silicone along with beaded joiners and the brass vacuum port connection will give you piece of mind that it will easily outlast the life of the car, increase performance and add some color for a nice personalized touch. | Not Ranked : 0 score I was wondering why the valve cover pcv hose thing isn't relocatec closer to the inlet on here like your other intake? I have the revised valve cover breather kit, and it's been effective in preventing smoke. So I'm only looking at intake tips that have a relocated line.

More options are always good; but it seems this segment is definitely "over flowing" with SRI's. However, JBR has the hearts of many, so filling this void within his line-up only makes sense. | |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Let me try and explain...There are only 3 makers of silicone TIP's, so that right there is a good reason to offer them. Silicone TIP's are much, much better from a performance perspective then aluminum so I don’t think we'll be offering them in aluminum. Now, as far as SRI's are concerned, there are only really 3-4 major players. Yes, there are more offerings then that but, only 3 that really that have the market. You already know that the 1st mods are pretty much intakes and rear motor mounts; we have the mounts but not the intakes. There are also other Mazda's besides the MAZDASPEED 3/6 that need intakes and only a couple companies that make them. As many of you also know is we offer some really great parts at really good prices and we have no plans to change things either. JBR has been growing, and our customers have been requesting these parts from us. So in order to continue growing we need to have these products in our catalog. Also, we have bigger goals in mind that require the use of the technology that goes in to designing and manufacturing of intake components and silicone parts. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score @jbarone the phrase "if you build it they will come" applies here. Building it refers to customer service. I am not at all knocking your parts because I own some and love them, but customer service is what I think you have sold and outsold over most if not all other competitors. This also applies to edge autosports as well and it is no surprise to me that these companies work in conjunction with each other. Products can be less than stellar but what keeps a customer coming back (for me at least) is that little extra effort to see that a customer ends up satisfied. Jamie reeled in the customers with great customer service and it is only genius that he starts expanding the market. Congrats on the success over the years and best of luck to you on the plans we all know you have ahead! | Not Ranked : 0 score Taking nothing away from Jamie; but why? I know I'll get the obvious "it's reinforced," but they both do the same job; especially since it's pre-turbo. Now, if you had a larger intake, I could understand...but from what I understand, they should both be the same size. Why fix what's not broken? Unless it actually is... |

| Not Ranked : 0 score on your connection between intake and turbo inlet, will you offer a silicone pipe that doesn't have the breather fitting. Many people I would imagine have bypassed the PCV system into a vented catch can and having to cap off the new part would suck...but not hard to do. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I'm currently installing the turbo inlet pipe, and I'm really confused on step 16/18 (http://jamesbaroneracing.com/support...structions.pdf). The mounting bracket is pretty thick, barely fits under the clamp if it's completely released, and the angle to keep it under the clamp and mount it on the stud just doesn't seem possible. Does anyone else have JBR TIP installed, if so, how did you manage this part of the install? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Found the right bracket. Thanks. I wasn't even going to touch that stuff until I'd gotten the TIP installed, would have never looked there... It's hard to tell what the correct bracket looks like in the guide, might be useful to include a pic/indicate where the bracket is packed in the guide. Thanks a ton for the quick response though, I figured I would be SOL and carless for a while until someone answered my question! That's some quality customer service right there ![]() (Also, the short shifter plate install went swimmingly!) |
