Good luck to both of you. This move is raising the bar for all the other manufacturers.
This! I think I might have to do the switcheroo down the line. Like the best of both worlds.

It's a Contour ROAM 1600. It's an action cam, just switched to take photos every second. No screen. Just have to take photos and hope for the best haha. But the fisheye effect is pretty cool.

Just ordered my Stage 2 intake literally 5 minutes ago (along with a short throw shifter and bushings). Can't wait to throw this thing on the car. Now Jamie make some exhaust parts so you can have more or my money!!

@jbarone; have you guys done much testing with cars that don't have upgraded internals? I can't quite manage the fuel pump upgrade just yet, but this SRI of yours is screaming my name. I know many are reluctant to run STI on a Pu without HPFP upgrades (myself included) but I'm just curious if you guys have any experience directly.

I have the JBR stage II intake and stock HPFP my logs show better fuel pressure numbers than when I was running the stock intake and COBB stage 1 stock tune (v210 and v231). I'll post one tonight when I get home.

The majority of our testing was done on GEN 1 and GEN 2 vehicles without internals. You do not need to have internals installed to run our intake. You can even run the Stage 1 Tunes we provide safely without internals. Hope this helps.....and they just went on sale!

I'm on stock internals until mine come off backorder and I posted some logs here with the JBR SRI/TIP and Stratified Stage 1 OTS if you're interested. Pressure is fine.

Thanks, glad to hear your FP is fine.

@jbarone; I checked your site and this one as well, but couldn't find any estimated power gains. If I buy the 3" SRI, then the stock TIP becomes the choke point, obviously. Will I be cannibalizing gains from the SRI significantly if I don't run the TIP as well?

For clarification you're are talking about our Power Path intakes with the stock TIP?

Yeah, I'm curious if it's even worth running the JBR SRI with the stock TIP, or whether that's just silly since the TIP will be the choke point for air flow.

The alternative, obviously, is waiting until I can afford both together (and can convince myself to do the TIP since it's harder to stock-our if I need warranty work done).

With the price of the combo it would be silly not to order both IMO.

^^This^^

Our testing was not done with the stock inlet pipe. Most do feel that the gains had by adding a TIP are negligible. The combined price still makes it worth waiting for.

Just ordered the stage 3 intake set up, looks like most people are going stage 2, any particular reason?

Either way I'm stoked to switch from SURE to JBR

StageIII is a CAI, not an SRI. CAI's tend to run cooler BATs, but they'll increase lag and are tougher to install. There's also a risk of hydrolock if you drive through deep water or big puddles.

We've seen no lag with the CAI. Yes a bit more work to install but the bats are lower and the look is much cooler. Hydro-lock is only gonna happen if you drive through puddles that are up to your doors. And, if that happens, you shouldn't be driving anyway.

More eloquently stated than my post was, but yes. Just to clarify, @jbarone;, I wasn't telling him not to get the StageIII or that it wouldn't be any good. Just justifying why some people tend to gravitate towards SRI vs CAI.

@jbarone;, what are the sizes of your t-bolt clamps on both the TIP and SRI? Just wondering out of curiosity and boredom.

No tune is required. Simply bolt it on and start making power. When you do get an AP we have already put free OTS tunes together for you. There is no better intake system for the money.

Just threw my stage 2 on yesterday. Amazing how much of a difference it makes in sound. I haven't had a shit eating grin this big since I got the car.

Total noob question here. I'm about to reflash the ECU. I see you've mentioned that if you have a HPFP (which I also installed yesterday) you are safe to run a Stage 2 but on the Stratified site it says that you need a ungraded exhaust to run stage 2. Jamie or Lex can you chime in on that?

Thanks
