Agreed, I need mine very soon. Can't wait, but have to because JBR is awesomesauce. lol My stock PMM and TMM are gone. Shift thunk is horrible. I think my aftermarket RMM caused the stock TMM and PMM to go...

Hi

I currently have AWR side/trans, SU rear. I also have BSD. Vibes are very high and I want to decrease vibs. (Fine, I'm a pussy, whatever)

I was going to get the SURE, and hope that it helped. I can't even be sure it would. Nor, I suppose, would I be certain JBR would help. In either case, I think I'd be buying and hoping for the best.

I'm not interested in a pissing match, I'm interested in best design for my needs, which is reliable holding of the engine with minimum vibration if at all possible.

One thing I can say is that the AWR certainly improved shifting. I had a lot of trouble shifting with the stock mount, and the AWR certainly fixed that. I'm sure that either SURE or JBR will do as good or better in that regards. I'm just mentioning that in case someone says that if I'm such a pussy then I should go back to stock. I'm not THAT big a pussy.

I also had a TT front mount, which I've already removed. Removing it helped maybe a tiny bit, but, not that much.

Perhaps a product comparison thread should be started in a vendor neutral forum, that would be fine.

Out of curiosity how much extra vibes did the BSD add?

Or if you did it before the mounts, how did the BSD initially affect NVH?

I can't honestly remember the order in which I did things, the BSD first, or the AWR mounts. I don't really know what did the most increase in vibs. But, to my best guess, I think it was the BSD that did the most effect. Which probably means that nobody's mount will help all that much.

I believe that if you do a motor rebuild, you have to do a BSD. Or, have the BSD rebalanced. At least that is what I have been told.

Re-balancing/reinstalling the balance shaft is somewhere between a huge pain in the ass and impossible. Since it's there for NVH rather than engine health, it almost always gets left off. If you're pulling the motor and building it, you should be balancing everything anyway, which should help (can't speak from experience yet). It's too bad @Alpha;s thing with Fluidamper never went anywhere.

Yeah man, I was pumped to see them make us a proper pulley, but our design is a major PITA (From what Ivan's told me)

Sucks, but like most guys are saying... When you build, a proper balancing job goes a long way. Still, I'd like to run a nice balancer, but hey.

Nice work Jamie! Looking forward to seeing some reviews on these! I, also, would like to see 80 duro options.

Thanks very much for doing this.

I am not really in a rush 3 months sort of thing, so if you do put up a nice deal for all three, I would be interested in that to the extent I would just use my cp-e rmm as the paper weight it currently is.

I totally agree. The hardest mount I've ever used is 70A at this point, but it made almost no difference in vibes. I can't imagine 80A being too much worse, but I'm still apprehensive about going with something like 88A.

Since we're on the subject of noise and vibration here's a little update...

The 88 transmission mount has been installed for a while now and is performing very well, as expected.

There is little or no vibration however, the transmission is very vocal.

I can verify this with an awr tranny mount. I didn't really notice much of an increase in vibration until I added the TT front motor mount, and even then it's only at certain rpms. While cruising its unnoticeable.

The inner ricer in me likes a little tranny whine here and there.

Also from my question before is it possible to get the 88 duro from the tranny mount in the pmm as well?

I have the cp-e rmm right now, how would the jbr side mounts feel with my current rmm? Is it to soft and will actually create more vibrations?

If there is, I must've missed it. Some POS must've thought it'd be cute to flex some imaginary "E Muscle."

No worries.

Awesome. It's there a price yet? Maybe discounted for buying right away?

Things are progressing smoothly. I hope to have pricing by the end of next week for the TMM and I doubt it'll be any different for the PMM. I'm expecting them both to come in around the 175.00 range each.

I still have some work to do on the PMM but it won't take much longer.

I appreciate everyone enthusiasm for these mounts, I wish I could have gotten to them a long time ago. Something tells me that would have saved many of you a lot of headaches.

I will keep you all updated regularly and If I run in to something, good or bad I promise full transparency. Many of you have been through enough waiting for these parts.

Thanks,
Jamie

I've had the CPE mount for a long time and it has been good to me, some minor vibs with the air con on but that is it.
I have trouble replacing a part that is working well for another

Interested if if you could explain the reason for your opinions why the JBR side mounts would not be a good fit with the CPE rear mount

@Karmat; has 2 new awr side mounts but is still using his sure rmm and is getting a lot of vibes. he thinks its the 88 duro mounts causing this but i recently drove @KusteLokal; 's car and he has 3 new awr engine mounts all with 88 duros. there were no vibes what so ever. so having a softer rmm will cause vibes that you probably won't like

I will also add that I get some noticeable vibes at higher rpms bit only for like 500rpm or so. I mean it makes sense if you think about.

When you upgrade your rmm you are making that the stiffest mount. Any aftermarket rmm is better than stock, but once you upgrade your side mounts to be stiffer than the rmm, your rmm is now going to transmit vibes since its the weakest link.

We upgrade the rmm to keep the engine rocking back but the stock side mounts will absorb some vibes due to them being made to do so. My guess as ro why my car doesnt vibe as much as @amggilly305; is due to the fact the AWR 70 duro bushings cant handle the power of our engine. I rode shot gun in my car and gillys noticed a difference.

Thank you @jbarone; for finally making us mounts. I just wish I knew this was in the works before I bought my awrs.
