New Product Release!! 2007 - 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 Under mounted FMIC Piping Kit!!

Details:
JBR Under Mounted FMIC Piping Kit, 2007* - 2013** Mazdaspeed 3 for TreadStone TR8, TR8L or TR6 Intercoolers

http://www.jamesbaroneracing.com/sho...Undermount.jpg

The OEM top mount intercooler is sufficient for stock horsepower but, for those wanting to make more, it simply isn't capable of providing the cooling capacity necessary. To make more power, the OEM top mounted intercooler needs to be removed and replaced with a larger front mounted intercooler. The JBR Under Mounted Front Mounted Intercooler Piping Kit for the 2007 – 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 makes that possible, easily and more effectively than any other piping kit on the market.

The JBR Under Mounted Hot Side Piping Kit is designed to fit all clocked OEM/BNR and most big turbo setups.

http://www.jamesbaroneracing.com/sho...ermount_06.jpg

Routing the piping beneath the motor reduces the amount of hot side charge piping by 12-16% when compared to other kits on the market. Reducing the amount of piping decreases turbo spool up time, reduces boost temperatures and makes for an impressive, almost sleeper looking engine bay.

The JBR kit is constructed from mandrel bent 6061 aluminum piping and 7 layer hi-strength thick walled silicone hoses and couplers. All of which is tucked neatly above the belly pan.

Routing the piping beneath the motor reduces the amount of hot side charge piping by 12-16% when compared to other kits on the market. Reducing the amount of piping decreases turbo spool up time, reduces boost temperatures and makes for an impressive, almost sleeper looking engine bay.

http://www.jamesbaroneracing.com/sho...ermount_05.jpg

Upon exiting the intercooler, the cool boost air enters another one piece, high strength, thick walled silicone hose and travels from there, all the way to the intake manifold. Silicone has a very low heat transfer coefficient so, the hot ambient air in and around the engine bay will not be able to penetrate through all of the layers of silicone therefore, the cold air you just spent $800 to get cool, will stay cool. All other kits currently on the market have several couplers, elbows, and connections long before ever reaching the intake manifold. Not only does that make for a difficult installation but the potential for leaks is drastically increased.

That looks awesome!
So much better looking and less clutter than all those over-the-top kits.
Great work

I wish I had a grand to drop on getting the whole setup + crash bar. Oh well...I'll just wait for my next tax return I guess lol

Fantastic, im weird and the one reason I don't want to go FMIC yet is cause I dont like the piping going over top.

mazdamx3freak 04-10-2015 06:02 PM

@jbarone are you still going to offer us who already purchased your fmic kit any kind of discount on the hot side piping kit?

Certainly...we will knock $15.00 off if you've purchased a FMIC piping kit from us in the past. Email us at Jamesbaroneracing@gmail.com with your order number after you order the under mount kit and we'll issue the refund. This offer is good through the end of May.

Too bad i ve just recently got installed a front intercooler and wont be able to get this JBR one for a while ..i guess until i ll ubgrade my turbo and then i ll need a bit bigger intercooler kit to support the bigger psi ..its no doubt that this kit is a lot smarter by definition in all aspects , very good job JBR!! U guys have also the best MM kit it was well worth to take down the previous "brand" and go with the 88Duro:):) oh yeah

mituc 04-12-2015 06:58 AM

I guess this kit will work with a larger inlet turbo (4") with just an adapter. If it does this kit may risk becoming the last FMIC piping kit you will ever need.

What does the turbo Inlet have to do with anything?

You are right, that's on the intake side.

Looks so stock and sleeper too.

I was wondering when we'd see someone post. We've sold so many of these. Hope to see more.

Killer95GT302 05-14-2015 12:44 PM

Would love to have my 6 engine bay looking like that - everything so easily worked on

RusianKid 05-14-2015 01:22 PM

Now I just need to paint the valve cover and clean my engine bay!

G1sdaname 05-19-2015 05:40 PM

I'll be posting pictures of install, hopefully soon.

@jbarone; with BNR3 is the waste gate actuator mounting bracket needed?

No you don't

As mentioned The BNR S2 and S3 do not need the actuator bracket we offer. They can be clocked with actuator bracket they come with. The BNR S1 does require the bracket we offer.

New Product Release!! 2007 - 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 Under mounted FMIC Piping Kit!!

Anyone have a picture of a clocked BNR3? The JBR instructions show a stock turbo being clocked and the small difference is throwing me off, on step 6 page 4 I can't determine if that's how it should look or if that's where I start before clocking.

This is after clocking the turbo as you can see the actuator bracket doesn't fit like this.

Here is a picture of the instructions.
http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...99623ea37b.jpg

This is how I figure it actually fitting, but I'm likely wrong.

That would shoot it up at your windshield.

I'm hopeless [emoji17], you are right if I picture it installed it definitely don't make sense.

Please keep us updated on your findings.

It will make it much easier on the future clocked BNRs

New Product Release!! 2007 - 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 Under mounted FMIC Piping Kit!!

Found this diagram and the EM connects from top. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...683be4d319.jpg so yes it's definitely pointing in the wrong direction.

So from the instructions it should be facing this way but the problem is the actuator bracket doesn't fit correctly.
http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...f19c07a90a.jpg

This hole doesn't align to bolt up the bracket.
http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...27695820d2.jpg
@jbarone; can you please point me in the right direction on clocking the BNR3? Thanks

Ok maybe it does fit after you start bending things. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...95d755b39c.jpg

^^You nailed it Sir!^^

Tweaking and adjusting the actuator arm will be necessary for the bracket to come in to place.

Sent from my iPhone

could you elaborate on which part of the arm you bent to make it work?

G1sdaname 05-26-2015 08:57 AM

I didn't bend the rod, I just placed the bolt on the right hand side of the picture and forced the bracket to be able to fit the second screw. JBarone says you can bend the rod but I haven't tried it yet. Likely need to bend the tip of the rod upwards and should give a little better clearance so it doesn't feel so forced.

This will do it.

Bend the main section of the rod up and the very end down a bit.

I see, so the rod probably just twisted a little inside the WGA. Good to know thanks.

JBR 05-26-2015 09:24 AM

You can loosen the jamb nut on the actuator rod to get the end to rotate if needed.

RusianKid 05-26-2015 09:26 AM

@jbarone;

Do you have any information on clocking the corksport turbo?

LOL...no

I think they would be better situated to address those questions.

ahh ok thats a better solution, I'll be picking up this kit in the near future then. @jbarone; I emailed you some feedback on the regular fmic piping over the weekend.

Cool!!

Yes, I've received your email. We're digging out from the holiday weekend and I will likely reply shortly.

Maybe the better question is...

Do you think the Corksport turbo is compatible with your kit, but I am glad to bring humor to your day instead.
