I'm sure you can make it work with some fabrication but CorkSport will likely have to test it or JBR will need to get their hands on their turbo.

As I understand it, the CS turbo is a "direct replacement" for the K04. The way I interpret direct replacement is...You can swap it with the K04 and every OEM part that connects to it will fit perfectly without adjustment or modification. If this is truly the case, our over the top kit will fit perfectly. If it is not a direct replacement and will not fit with the OEM TMIC then it may not work with our over the top piping kit or any other FMIC piping kit. Testing would have to be done for every FMIC kit out there to confirm fitment. This seems unlikely to me and would be a major manufacturing blunder if it didn't.

The question that needs to be answered is...Can the CS turbo be clocked 180 degrees and will the actuator function properly? They should already have the answer to this. If it cannot be then obviously it will not work with our under mounted kit or any other under mounted kit.

There is a very large hole we left for dump tubes. It's hard to see in this picture and I will try and get more. If you have any pics of where yours exits I will try and help.

Here is a video of me checking to see if the actuator rod was working fine after forcing the bracket on when clocking the BNR3.
JBR suggested 25 PSI for the test but I didn't have a way to adjust the pressure so who knows how much PSI I was using in the test.

In Dale's "So about the new CS turbo" thread I believe Derrick from CS already answered this, and unfortunately their turbo cannot be clocked without pretty serious mod/fab work. I'll go find the post and link it here.

So, about the new Corksport turbo...

If I wasn't going to use meth this is definitely the FMIC kit/setup I would go for, it looks so damn clean and sneaky with the black hoses. It's too bad the CS turbo is unclockable as it stands, but maybe if CS or JBR can make a clocking kit, or if you get one in hand, you may be able to make everything you need yourself depending on skill and access to a machine shop. It kind of defeats the 'drop-in' aspect of the CS turbo, but once it's been out long enough it will be clear whether it's even worth trying. The BNR is tried and true, so it's the obvious choice for an undermount kit.

We obviously don't have access to every turbo on the market but, if it can be clocked 180 degrees, I'm confident our under mounted kit will work. Our design allows for a ton of flexibility in the connection at the turbo.

Well, by using meth injection, for the 2 months in BC where our temps get anywhere near 80-90, my upgraded TMIC should be more than adequate for the K04, and probably even a little big turbo. And keeping the TMIC running should mean a little better response, using meth will allow me to do that.

A wire tuck kit may be a good kit to put together, you can use your current under engine pipping sales to determine how many ppl would use it. Plus there are 2-3 FMIC pipping options out there that are not over the engine. @jbarone; just a thought

Ladies/gentlemen,

Please see the attached video with my 3000 mile under mount piping update.

Things to note:
-The bracket holding the pipe to the timing cover already broke.
-If you have a UR downpipe it will be close.
-I still love this kit!

@russiankid; Sorry about the bracket. We can get you fixed up with a new one no problem. PM your order number and I'll get one right out.

As for the O2 sensor, We have the same DP in our test car and it's close, but not that close. I think it's worth trying to adjust your piping to get better clearance. Ours is almost 3/4" away which eliminates the possibility of contact during engine movement.

We're happy you still love the kit even with the few issues you're having. We'll look for your order #.

Thanks,
Mike

UR might have changed the downpipe recently then, considering the bellmouth area of my V2 downpipe is a single piece instead of multi welded piece that is shown in their photographs.

That is also the best I could make the clearance, and shall try again once I get the bracket to install.

You have incoming mail.

Thanks for everything!

Ever consider making an underpiping kit for the 6? I'm sure a lot of the design would transfer over leaving only a few pieces that need to be different?

We have but sadly, the demand is too low to invest the R&D time and costs associated with manufacturing enough to get the price where it needs to be. There's so few of these cars left that from a business perspective, it just isn't what it once was. Sorry.
