Arrow New Product Release! JBR FMIC Piping Kit, 2010 - 2013 Mazdaspeed 3

We only have 18 of these kits until January of 2015

The OEM top mount intercooler is sufficient for stock horsepower but, for those wanting to make more, it simply isn't capable of providing the cooling capacity necessary. To make more power, the OEM top mounted intercooler needs to be removed and replaced with a larger front mounted intercooler. The JBR Front Mounted Intercooler Piping Kit for the 2010 – 2013 Mazdaspeed 3 makes that possible, easily and more effectively than any other piping kit on the market.

Thin walled aluminum piping carries hot boost air from the turbo all the way to the base of the radiator. Aluminum was chosen here for its very high heat transfer coefficient. Meaning, boost temperature will begin to drop as soon as it exits the turbo. At the base of the radiator the aluminum then transitions to a one piece, high strength thick walled silicone hose, which then wraps around the core support and in to the intercooler. This design significantly reduces the typical number of connections, simplifies the installation and greatly lowers the chances for leaks.

Upon exiting the intercooler, the cool boost air enters another one piece, high strength, thick walled silicone hose and travels from there, all the way to the intake manifold. Silicone has a very low heat transfer coefficient so, the hot ambient air in and around the engine bay will not be able to penetrate through all of the layers of silicone therefore, the cold air you just spent $800 to get cool, will stay cool. All other kits currently on the market have several couplers, elbows, and connections long before ever reaching the intake manifold. Not only does that make for a difficult installation but the potential for leaks is drastically increased.

Application:
2010 – 2013 Mazdspeed 3

Requires the use of a Treadstone TR8 Intercooler

Features:
  • Black wrinkle coated and polished aluminum piping
  • 7 layer High strength, thick walled silicone hoses
  • Stainless T-bolt clamps

JBR FMIC Piping Kit Includes:
  • Hot and cold side piping
  • BPV Adaptor flange and mounting hardware
  • 7 Stainless T-bolt clamps
  • Installation instructions are available in our support section
  • Shipping is free in the US & our Hassle Free Lifetime Warranty is included

I like that this kit has all the bends in long single pieces. This will make finding boost looks and installation a lot easier. Makes me want to upgrade. Excellent work as always Jamie!

So @jbarone; for the gen win kit, are we talking like 6 months, 6 weeks? Any guess?

@jbarone; to use your kits with the TR8L is all that is required is an inch trim on each side of the piping?

I'd like to add some input in to this kit for the gen2 with my GTX2867r. The 2.5-2 inch reducer provided with this kit is too short to reach this turbo. I've had to outsource a longer reducer, one that's 5 inches long. This should be long enough to reach the turbo.

Are saying the reducer coupler we supply should be 5" in length? If it was the hot side pipe would be too high for use with stock turbo.

We can get longer reducer couplers or increase the leg on the hot side pipe.

Exactly. The one supplied for the stock turbo is 2.5 or 3 inches long? And its a couple inches short of reaching this particular turbo. Its actually difficult to find 5" long reducers. Most of them are around 3 maybe 4", but I did eventually find one.

You mind sharing where you found yours? I have the exact same turbo so I will need one as well.

@jbarone; maybe you could offer a longer reducer coupler option for people with turbos that need them?
