RMM, Knob, Sway, SSP installed, bushings coming soon.

First off James Barone is the best company I have ever dealt with when buying well, anything. I ordered a Rear Motor Mount, Heavy Shift Knob, Short Shift Plate and weight, Solid Shifter Bushings and Rear Sway Bar I installed everything but the Shifter Bushings last week.

First I attempted to install the bushings but couldn't figure out why they didn't seem to line up. Well a quick email to Jamie and I found out I received the MS6 bushings so new ones were in the mail the next day. This is where I also have to add that Jamie replies so unbelievably fast to emails it's scary.

So next I decided to put in the SSP and weight. Following the instructions everything went fine. I was slightly confused for a minute wondering how the SSP sat on the existing "plate" but other then that everything went off without a hitch. I already have a Cobb STS and let me say my shifts are pretty friggin short now. Downshifting to third can sometimes be a bitch as well as going from forth to fifth but it's nothing major and I've never driven a car with a short shifter that wasn't somewhat difficult to shift. I did adjust my shifter based on Jamie's instructions, which made a little bit of difference but overall I think my shift came "set" from factory pretty decently.

So a few days later (went to Disneyland with Dreams Take Flight) I decided to install the RMM, knob, and rear sway bar. Again following Jamie's instructions everything went very easily, but if I did have to give one piece of advice for would be installers it would be to buy a rubber mallet. My jack doesn't go to high so I couldn't use my longer socket wrench for certain parts of the install. Having a rubber mallet to pound away made things a heck of a lot easier. So now my impressions of each.

The RMM (70 durometer) has made a lot more of a difference then I thought it would. Even less spirited launches feel like I'm getting more power to the ground. Now the vibes are way more then I thought they would be, BUT I have literally put maybe 1 or 2 kms on my car since install (been sick for the past 3 days) so I expect break in will take some of those away. Plus I kind of like the vibes, it makes my car feel meaner.

The Heavy Shift Knob has taken away some of the resistance felt when shifting plus it's dead sexy. Using lots of WD40 and some paper towel around the top of my boot it threaded on with no effort.

What more can I say about the Rear Sway Bar then holy crap! Thanks a lot Jamie, now I'm going to burn through tires even faster with this bad boy installed. I have the bar on medium stiffness but I tempted to go with the stiffest setting as I've not yet noticed any drawbacks compared to stock.

All in all I would highly recommend every product I bought and dealing with Jamie makes it that much easier. I'll update with my impressions of the shifter bushings when they get here.

Just an update about the shifter bushings, I got around to putting them in on the weekend and like everything else they were a welcome improvement. Shifting doesn't feel as "loose" as it did before, in fact I'm surprised at how such a simple part could make such a big difference. Also the RMM seems to have broken in a bit (or I'm getting more used to it). It's only when the AC kicks in that it shakes the car a bit, but still well worth it for the trade off in performance.
