| Not Ranked : 0 score A T3 housing turbo will perform better and should cost about the same... Assuming you are buying a manifold anyway, just get one with a T3 flange (about the same cost). The money you save on the turbo itself will pay for an external wastegate. I went with a 3076 with the divided T3 .78 A/R housing. If that doesn't spool fast enough I'll set up a small shot of nitrous to spray as soon as I go WOT to make it spool faster. edit: just saw that you don't want to do DP or mani... you don't have much option other than the ATP in that case, but you wouldn't spool as fast as these other guys anyway with your exhaust flow corked up like that.

| Not Ranked : 0 score What else would you need besides the turbo if he follows this route of a "bolt-on" kit? New oil lines, big MAF...? Will a regular DP and FMIC work with this so-called ATP bolt-on turbo? Stock IWG would create a lot of problems or no? It would be great if we had an explained thread regarding these BT upgrades for our cars so it's easy for people to kinda take a look and maybe create interest a little more. Who can do it? (= |

| Not Ranked : 0 score everything you need to know is here. tons of pics...big thanks to Lenny for putting it together. Surprised he hasn't made it a sticky somehwere...maybe he has IDK. http://www.mazdaspeedforum.org/forum/foru...che-now-63559/ short version, ATP is a complete bolt on solution with very minor coolant line bending required to install....or use Lenny's method covered in the thread and get another fitting. BTW R.ms3 I love your avi! funny chit!

| Not Ranked : 0 score Hey all sorry to revive an old thread but I figure that's what stickies are for!! Anywho I'm definitely interested in doing this kit. I'm on the fence about the 3071r and 3076r...I want to keep as close to stock as I can aside from a downpipe and no manifold and run internal wastegate. I read the other guys thread who did the 3071r bolt on kit also. My goal is to have a daily driven 350+whp on stock bottom end. Installing HPFP today and test pipe to go along with AP and I have a place that is more than qualified to professionally DYNO tune the car on an AWD mustang dyno. My friend had a 3076r on an SRT-4 that was pretty damn awesome but he told me that he'd wish he'd gone with the 3071r because it's more streetable and quicker spool. I'm all about having USABLE power but also would like the ability to grow to more power within the future i.e. built bottom end, etc! Also I do understand that the ATP are internal wastegate and they have smaller housings which will decrease flow, so I guess my question is, is that more achievable on the 3076r or 3071r ATP bolt on turbo? Any help would be awesome. I just want to get opinions from you guys that have done them! |
