And waiting on my new manifold, wastegate, and that's about it! Can't wait to put this turrrbooo onnnn!!! Pictures.. K04 vs 6466, HX35 vs 6466, and Many turbos sitting at the shop lol. EDIT: BTW the 6466 is about 5lbs lighter than the K04 and my old GTX3076 and 10lbs lighter than the HX35 rfinkle2 likes this. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score UPDATE: Ok I pretty much worked through the night everyday since last Thur night to get this bitch and today I finally got it going. The good... Started right up on the first try, no weird noises, no cel's, ran smooth as could be. Drove it around some today and everything was great, just trying to get in some mileage, then change the oil. THE BAD!!! (FML) So after about 15 miles, mind you the car is literally running more smoothly that it was before the build... I stop to park the car, put it in neutral and see a light flicker, move the clutch in and out and right as it's engaging/disengaging it looks like the Oil(fml) like kind of flickers. So I let it sit for a while, start it back up to go home and no issues and all... till 5 min in when I get a check engine light...pull over and it's P0012 - "A" Camshaft Over Retarded. Soooo anyone have any personal experience with this. I'm assuming it's all oil pressure related and low pressure, not moving the VVT is causing the P0012 code, but idk yet, could it be the other way around? VVT issue causing weird oil pressure idk I'm grasping at straws right now. Notes, I am running the stock oil pump, as I never had issues in the past and when I put the pump in it spun freely by hand. Also running a PTP VVT which I'm 100% sure was installed correctly. Also, again... the car runs FLAWLESSLY aside from this code and the weird flicker I saw that one time at idle... Anyway ANY help anyone could provide would be hugely appreciated right now! Thanks! Oh and PS... this turbo is fucking siiiiick. The End |

Using the stock HG sent to me with the block by @SPEED6 KILLAH so I'm pretty sure it's not a HG issue. On the @tbot build though it looks like the EXACT issue... Wonder what the solution is... | |

After reading a lot of instances of this happening, it's been low pressure from the BSD not being installed, just having the shaft deleted... and thinking back... I never actually checked to see if there was anything installed there when I first got the block back.... @SPEED6 KILLAH hopefully you can chime in on this one just so I can be sure... |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Need to block the oil hole .. You can pull the oil pan and see if the BS oil hole is a plugged. Needs to be plugged !

Head gasket is good, VVT good, OCV good, oil pressure good, bsd is blocked properly, timing correct, crank position sensor lined up properly, cam position sensor lined up and clean...still no ideas. Lemme know what u find out ends up being the problem, cause I'm at a loss. Also, are you getting any KR at all? Cause I am, and only when the VVT solenoid DC gets to about 78% and higher...weird coincidence if you ask me...

| Not Ranked : 0 score I had the same issue and I cleaned my cam position sensor, also changed out my ocv, kept getting the code so Dustin did some research and Pablo told him to have me do some crazy battery reset. For some reason that code won't reset on a normal battery reset and stay in the cars ECU. Disconnect negative, get in car, put headlights on, hold brakes for 30 seconds. No lie when I did the hard reset I never got that check engine light again. Tapafucku! rfinkle2 likes this.
