| Cool! What'd you make on the billet-wheel K04? I'd love to see a dyno plot (even VDyno) for comparison to a standard K04, or one of the BNR/CS drop-in turbos. Unless you've got some additional (aux) fuel, I doubt that Dizzy is going to push you much beyond 400whp if your car can manage that much. I'd guess somewhere in 350-380whp range would be reasonable for your mods with the GT3076R.

No idea, never dyno'd it. I'm gonna guess 330/350 though? All I know is my butt dyno says it pulls harder than the OEM K04 lol. Those BNR/CS turbos are definitley an upgrade over my billet wheel K04 however, yes the upgraded turbo internals do make a difference, but nothing as drastic as those. But oh no, even 400 seems like too much for my goals. My motor is stock and I'm never going to build it, I just want a fun street car. 380/380 on E30 is honestly my goal. Mostly doing it for the turbo and ewg noises.. Jesus I'm a ricer.

| Not Ranked : 0 score which mishimoto core are you running? I see a lot of people run the M line core but on paper, the S line seems like the better choice. Thats the one I want but mounting may be a problem. Are you using a custom crash bar? or one of the ones the many vendors make?

| Not Ranked : 0 score If your goal is just under 400, the BNR S4 has your name all over it. And it's a "simple" bolt-on affair. You can reach your goals with the S3, but you'd be pushing it pretty hard. The CS turbo can get you there as well as its sized somewhere between the S3 and S4. Any of those 3 turbos will spool quicker than a 3076.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I'm guessing it's the eBay manifold with an ATP bolt-on 3076 turbo.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Ya, the ATP bolt-on is a garrett with a swapped out turbine housing to match the K04 manifold flange and stock downpipe flange.

| Not Ranked : 0 score If the manifold output flange is the same as your Mazda, you got an ATP/Garret kit (Most likely) and if not, you got a custom manifold for a standard turbo flange. The second one gives you more options for the next turbo. I say that if you don't like the lag of an old 3076...You could get same flow with smaller wheels these days and because it is already above your goal you could even go smaller. I bet in a short while you will be looking at the cost of forged internals to open it up....

In that case yes ATP/Garrett kit, since it uses the same flange. Good to know. I think I'll be more than happy though and won't be looking to build the motor any time soon. I've driven it on K04s for 4 years now, I'll probably be another 4 on this 3076 lol

| Not Ranked : 0 score I read about uneven surface too but it can be easily checked with a solid ruler or something straight and a filler gage. But if you don't see black exaust leak it could be a good sign that it is ok.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Thats a hell of a deal. I went 3576 on stock motor because i thought the k04 was bad. No motor was. Fj built now. But 2015 i drove from Pittsburgh to San Antonio for a TS gtx3576r, steedspeed ts top mount mani, perm dp and wg dump, shortened & welded cp-e ic piping with a giant custom intercooler, 5th port, 6 port SS controller, and 3.5in intake for $2000. Became good friends with the dude over the years. When i picked up the parts i stayed at his place for a few days and worked on his car. Shit was a great couple days. You can definately go 3076 on a stock block just keep the torque down. Ran my 3576 for 6 months at 18psi and 306awhp on a stock block that burned a quart a week. I know jakes gen 1 made 533whp with a 6266 stock block and ran great for years. He had a built motor waiting but stock block would never give up. |
