Car is a 2008 Mazdaspeed3 GT

Bought it brand new on 11-24-2007. Absolutely love the car and within 6 months I had bought and installed the Mazdaspeed Cold Air Intake, Mazdaspeed Catback Exhaust, and Forge Bypass Valve.

By year 2 it had a Catless Downpipe & Racepipe, And Front Mount Intercooler.

Year 3 was Cobb Lowering Springs, SPC Camber Arms, Weds SA67R 18x8 +45, Yokahama S Drive 235/40/18, Rolled rear fenders, and NGK Spark Plugs.

Didn't do anything mods for about 2 years.

Then in 2012 I got an AEM TruBoost Boost Controller, Autotech Fuel Pump, Cobb Accessport.

2013 Racebuilt Exhaust Manifold, and Freek Tune.

2014 Parts are installed and car is running great. TR8 Intercooler is on order and Cobb EBCS will be ordered next. Will be turning off the AEM and have the boost controlled in the tune.

Up next to be installed is a Treadstone TR8 Intercooler.

Hopefully down the road I will be going to a GTX3071r.
Mainly because of all the great reviews I have read about that particullar turbo on our platform.
It seems like a very well ballanced turbo for DD and weekend worrior.
Plus I'm looking to be in the 370-400 power range without having to use corn or meth since both are hard to get my hands on around my area.

But a lot of those reviews came out before the GTX2867r was released.
Let me know how you like it or if you need an extra set of hands.

370bhp at the flywheel - probably. But on pump gas alone this turbo will get you to 340-350whp, meaning like 365-380 at the FW.

Well, the inlet side is all figured out with a 3" coupler and Tbolts on the way.

The compressor side to the FMIC has been on my mind for the past few weeks. I've read about 2 or 3 build threads and I don't like all the "connections/couplers/clamps" it takes to make this happen.

I'm working with @rfinkle2; to get it to look cleaner. End result is one piece from the compressor side to the FMIC piping (One 90 degree coupler).

Good looking out. Trying to make sure this is a smooth install.

if you get the blanket, dont get the auto parts silver blanket. and then i would not recommend putting it over the manifold. it'll crack over a time period of a month and a half and it smells when it gets uber hot from races/pulls. i put mine right by the firewall, protecting the hoses from coolant from getting overheating.
works just fine. if you're going to wrap it, cool as well, get the green wrap(volcano rock stuff. i know jbr made a fmic that 85% of it is made from silicone couplers.

You may need a crowfoot wrench for the turbo to manifold nuts, the runners on the EM are super close and angled to the studs.

Yes, I need to purchase some crowfoot wrenches. I did not have any when installing my manifold (RaceBuilt pictured above) and broke tools, modified tools, had to cut the turbo to manifold studs, and was just a pain in the ass to get the nuts on those 4 studs with those runners.

Yeah, I assume you have the 15mm nuts from Edge/APT, you can also use these 14mm nuts.

@Andrewbox; and I can have coil overs on in an hour..Once u do it a couple times it's easy. The bitch it the fronts but nothing two quarters can't fix
