(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score The included hardware isnt quite on par as the stock hardware. while tightening down the bushing bolts I managed to snap 2 of the 4 bolts using a torque wrench (snap-on digital that is calibrated every 3 months) and making sure to tighten the pairs equally. Quick trip to the hardware store and replaced them with grade 8 bolts, had no problem tightening them this time. Theres a major size difference between the supplied bolts and stock, I understand this is because of the oversized bushing needed, but I would think using a bushing that can accept the stock hardware is a better option. Theres also no washers included for the nut that goes on top on the bushing, in the time it took me get the bolts semi-tightened and snapped, the nut had already started to dig into the bushing brace (washer also taken care of in same store run). Havent gotten to really try it out yet, hopefully can get to autox this weekend. But from the couple smaller drives ive been on the car definately corners way better and has a noticable decrease in body roll. Overall I'm pleased with the Front sway bar, but just wish I didnt have these hardware issues (maybe something CS can take a look into). I contacted CS and the service was good, they have replacement bolts on the way already at no cost to me. Pic is of (left to right) stock mounting bolt, stock brace with nut, CS included bolt and nut (snapped) Im trying to get more pics uploaded but my computer isnt liking the files sent from my iphone, Ill get them uploaded once they cooperate. |
