In my experience, only extremely cheap springs settle. After the car is back on the ground and rolled a few feet, that's the height it sits at. If the springs settle, it's the steel deforming which is only going to happen on cheap, eBay garbage or on quality springs after years of use.

Many people say springs settle, but never in my experience have they. Isolators wearing may contribute partly though.

It is more of the new springs in the seats where the extra bit of lowering comes in.

I'm close to placing an order, but I have concerns about ride quality being too stiff/jumpy compared to stock. Corksport, what is your personal opinion on the ride with these springs?

FamiliaGT commented on post #13 about our springs he has had installed " the ride is perfect for everyday driving and weekend AutoX or Drag nights. "

The ride will be firmer than the stock springs but not so stiff they will kill you over every small bump.

so with the reading i have done... i see our stock struts dont hold up well with lowering springs. is this like the dp w/o hpfp upgrade where you are playing with fire? or is it that gen1 cars with a few miles on them start having problems? just wondering what the ball park is for needing struts. i have maybe 15k miles.

The Springs are not going to put that much more force on the struts than the factory springs do. Your struts should last years with these lowered springs on there.

On how the ride is when I was doing some testing over speed bumps. I have been driving a lowered car almost all of my driving life(13years) and I would say these springs feel better than any i've had. Just to see how they took hitting a speed bump. I was getting our speed bumps in our parking lot. They are the type that are about 8in long 2-3in high at 10mph with no brakes and it was really not that bad. And these are bumps that with my MS protege that has the stock suspension on I would roll over at a very slow speed.

HA! I've replaced both my rear shocks, and I'm on stock springs. Adding higher weight/frequency springs will only wear things out even faster.
I'm genwon though. Everyone knows genwon shocks are shit.

The install is cake, just pick up some penetrating oil and spray the shit out of the LCA for a few days before the install. The instructions are dead on target.

You will not need to change out the rear control arms to correct the camber with our springs. No toe issues at all on our car.

OK Just got mine on before the hurricane. Install was fine, although both rubber stoppers in the top of the struts were crumbling. The rears gave me trouble but everything was good. No clunks, squeaks or anything yet. Alignment will most likely be done on Monday depending on the storm. These are with 225/45/18 wheels.

The springs work great on the speed 3. As for a guarantee are you asking about the drop of the car?
