ECT: When driving, around 18X-19XF. Stuck in stop and go city traffic, around 19X-220F. I don't think I've ever hit more than 220F.

BAT: When driving, around 90-110F. Stuck in stop and go city traffic, arround 110-135F.
BAT's rise pretty quick on a hot day when the car is stopped, but slowly goes down when the car is moving, depending on speed.

Some of the fins towards the top of the intercooler still get bent slightly if you use the stock shroud. It's so small and negligible that I don't even find it to be a problem, honestly.

the part of the shroud that touches the fins can be easily corrected. the plastic is pretty soft and can be filed down with a rasp or dremel. or shaved down with a small knife.

The trimming of the plastic on the underside of the TMIC shroud is pretty easy,

Check out the write up we did on our KB

Corksport 2012 calendar. $15 on their website which is then donated to a charitable org. 10% off coupon is good for January 2012. Need to also register on their site and login when u order the calendar and then when u use the code so their system can validate the code. There are diff coupons each month of 2012.

For the people who have bought these recently, is the issue with the front mounting feet not sitting flush on intake manifold resolved or does it still require some shimming to sit flush?

Installed mine and fit is perfect. Just had to trim the ridge inside the shroud. I was even able to reuse the oem bolts for the shroud.

This is normal and is a known mod needed to use the factory cover on the TMIC.

I've been impressed with the gains so far. BATs are way down and car pulls stronger without boost as well. One of my favorite mods. Also have the CS boost tubes which fit perfectly.

That's what the freer flow will do for you. Your engine does not have to work as hard to make the same power so the power comes on sooner.

I just got mine today and installed it right away! My mechanical abilities are, well, limited but this was still pretty easy for a stubby fingered dope like me.

Everything fits nicely on my genpu, but I did have to crank down pretty good on the passenger side of the optional shroud to close the gap between the shroud and the supplied spacer. It seems to have tweaked the shroud just slightly on that side...

I checked and the height of the spacers match and the TMIC itself is seated nicely to the boost tubes and tightened down properly.

Is this normal?

Thumbs up

Got mine on. Can't wait until the weather is better so i can try it out. I chose to use the stock shroud, btw.

Fit and finish are excellent. Now to get enough posts to sell the stock tmic. And my stock wheels... ;-)

Okay, so I didn't really expect this to be a big horsepower/torque producing mod, but boy was I wrong. I am truly amazed at the additional power throughout the entire powerband, the improved response, quick boosting, etc. This is a definite eye-opener. Feeling the tires grip for traction with a quick part throttle stab in 4th gear is smile-inducing...

Glad you like it so much. The TMIC definitely can make a nice difference, especially if you are already noticing heatsoak on your stock TMIC. I definitely noticed quicker response to the throttle and boost in my car.

I've always liked how it keeps my engine bay looking almost stock, especially when paired with their hood struts, SRI and CAB.

I'm about to buy a top mount from corksport my self right now, just browsing the forum for a possible coupon for corksport before I do haha. I am glad to see people loving the top mount makes me feel good about the decision to stick with corksport! I do have a question for corksport about your inventory tho. I just bought the CS lowering springs and they said they won't be in till April, and you guys have no live inventory tracking system online so who would I need to talk to before I buy to make sure the top mounts are in stock before I buy?

I'm not sure if corksport has tax season sales, but many of the other vendors supporting this forum do.
