Corksport Turbo EWG

What's up everyone. After some thought and going back and forth between the CS Turbo and the BNRS3 I decided to go with the CS unit not only because of the great reviews but also simply because the CS turbo would get here before I leave for my deployment. I also however have been wanting to go EWG if and when I ever upgraded to here goes! So far the parts list I have include what's in my sig plus:

HTP 3" intake
Corksport Catless DP
Grimmspeed EBCS
Sk1nny's EWG stock mani
Tial 38mm EWG
Bosch 3 bar MAP sensor and PNP harness
EBay Dump tube
Cobb IWG bracket


I plan on running a 91 and 25% E85 mix that will be tuned by Nishan! Unfortunately The install day won't take place until the 13th of June for work related stuff. But I will update this thread accordingly as time goes on.

Lookin good Jake!!! Glad you are getting it all together. You can totally knock that out over a weekend. Can't wait to see what she puts down. Will be a mean auto x and street car for sure

I got the Turbo and DP from CS and everything else minus the exhaust mani from Edge. I think all told it came out to a little over 2k

Even though I'm a bit bummed you don't want our sweet IWG, I am interested to see how one of these operate with an EWG setup. Will you be running a screamer pipe? (I would be ).
With the Cobb IWG Lock Bracket I noticed that the bolt head sticks out over the CHRA a bit. Check fitment of the supplied coolant line to make sure everything clears before you get to deep in the install. It looks like it should be fine, but we have never check clearance for this setup. Good luck with the install, can't wait to see your results!

Clearance is just fine and was actually the first thing I checked before I tightened everything down . I have heard nothing but good things about how you all set up the IWG, but I kind of just wanted something different and because Nishan says quote "IWG is for pussies" hahaha. Was either going to be EWG on the BNR or your guys' turbo. And if people run EWG without a screamer pipe, I do not want to meet those people

Sk1nny had been running this manifold for a really long time. at least a year and a half I think? Its only temporary for me until I get the funds for a nice mani

Im hoping it does because I will be using the ETS TMIC I have on currently. It'll be close but I think it'll be fine

So update. Tonight @ZOOMBIE; and I successfully got everything out. I had heard horror stories about the downpipe but honestly the 5 bolts weren't that bad at all. The only hiccup we had was that whoever installed the primary O2 sensor just decided that threads aren't important and completely destroyed them. It was a BITCH to get out.

To my utter amazement, even with almost 118k on the clock, my K04 has ZERO shaft play! I test fitted the EWG with the ghetto rigged mani and ran into some fitment issues however so it's looking like I might have to hammer in some of the fire wall to get it to fit. But other than that the fun begins tomorrow!!

So another update. Got the turbo and everything in fine along with the downpipe. However it turns out that AutoZone's part number for the primary 02 sensor is incorrect. Which upon further research on here is known so I guess my fault for not researching more after I discovered a new one was needed. Basically that means I wont be able to finish this up until a new one gets here on Tuesday. Once I get that in I can put the intake and EBCS on as well.

As always the corksport instructions were very clear and accurate. Made everything quite a bit easier to accomplish. For never having swapped a turbo ever in my life I felt like it went in fairly smoothly. Hardest part for me was putting on the oil feed line but even that wasn't too much of a big deal. Really looking forward to actually getting this thing back on the road!!!

Didn't really register to me that I did that until all the parts got here. But in the end it doesn't really matter because Ill max out fueling before I max out the exhaust flow anyways. I guess if I ever go built motor and add aux fueling I'd pick up a bellmouth

Thank you for posting a comparison pic. That thing is considerably larger than the K04

It'd be interesting to see if you could splice the EWG dump tube into the downpipe's wastegate runner.
The wastegate looks pretty tight to that heat shield as is though.

Why? I suppose it could be done but if you wanted to run it back in why wouldn't you just run an IWG? Just a thought.

So forgot to update yesterday but I was having problems fitting the dump tube so I went to the local exhaust shop and just had him put a slight 15 degree or so bend in it to get it to fit and now she's in:



Just got the 02 sensor from EdgeAutoSport that I over nighted. HUGE thanks to them for getting that item out to me quickly and on time. Really always have been impressed with their service! Everything should be ready to start up tonight! Cannot wait to see what Nishan can get out of my set up. Videos incoming!
