Thanks, I should have been more clear. I'm looking at the thickness of the rim vs stock. In one of the posts above, it says the wheel is thicker.

Hoping to see something like this

That picture from the CS website should give us an idea about the thickness difference. I can see that the flat bottom is about the same thickness as the OEM, while the rest of the wheel is thicker probably one quarter of an inch in diameter.

@CorkSport; Count me in for a Gen 2 version. If for no other reason than the flat bottom. Tall people have it rough with the stock wheel placement.

I'm also down for a gen 2 version. Black with a bit darker red inserts & stitching to match the VRM on the genpu.

Agreed. If I were to get aftermarket steering wheel, retaining airbag is the thing I would want most.

I'd love to see one of these in person, so buy it lol

Yeah.
I guess it is more my driving position and less the wheel placement. Legs always hit the bottom of the wheel when I switch pedals.

i had to ask since the lever is kinda down there in the dark under the dash it would be easy to miss

Oh God yes! It's so nice in your hands. Much more comfortable to grip. Ergonomical. Definitely a ton more leg room. Goes very well with the rest of the interior. I couldn't be happier. You won't miss the money at all once it's installed.

You can drop your left thumb right in the groove by the stereo buttons and rip through gears with much more confidence because the wheel dosent feel like gonna get jerked from your hand.

Hope these help! As you can see the overall circumference is about the same but the grip is about 1/4" thicker all around. The bottom 10% of the wheel is flat which gives plenty of clearance for thunder thighs with out feeling awkward during hand over hand turns. Over all I think the design is spot on and it really works great with the rest of the interior!

Judging by the interest here, if @CorkSport; did a group buy for a Pu version to be released I think they would make A LOT of money...

@CorkSport, I just submitted product request for Genpu version in link you provided.

I think a lot of folks would be all over this, even those without the mod bug. The factory wheel is just not up to spec with other similar modern performance cars (ie: Golf R, Focus ST). And price is just affordable enough. Don't make me use my sad spaghetti-thin wheel forever.
