We made a replacement firewall heat shield to get rid of the ugly foam and aluminum foil version Mazda made. Yes it will work. Disclaimer on this picture. The person who installed the turbo smashed the lower heat shield and two upper heatshield brackets flat in a hack job putting the car together. | Not Ranked : 0 score The heat shield would work far better if it had some sort of radiant barrier on it, ie the gold foil stuff. Flat black is really the worst choice for a heat shield exposed to the massive infrared coming off of the manifold and turbine. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Just opened my package today and I was surprised to find some candy along with a Miata post card. I asked for gen 2 speed post card, they emailed me said they didn't have one but they did not disappoint. It's the little things haha. I am inclined to add some sort of heat reflective material like you guys were talking about but overall it feels like a quality product.
