Default Mazdaspeed Dual VTA Bypass Valve

Sweet!

The CorkSport Dual VTA BPV provides features and performance to suit stock cars and on up to big turbo high power setups. The CorkSport Dual VTA BPV holds 50psi, responds in 50 milli-seconds, and won’t stall your car coming to a stop at idle. All this comes in a compact design with nozzle adjustability to allow for easy installation in even the most cramped engine bay or with custom piping. #ZoomZoom !

Damn, so this is @CorkSport; version of the GFB Respons?

Looks pretty cool. Using Bypass in regular driving and VTA on high boots

Meh, HKS wants like $300+ for their POS.

CS is producing products based on demand. Fact is, ricer/stance/faggot owners of Mazdaspeed3's are on the rise, and most of those people don't want a valve that's significantly quieter than stock, which my "standard" CS valve is.

It's sad to watch. This one will definitely be 300+ once you get their shipping prices. Never seen such absurd shipping prices in my life.

I fought with bpv tubing for 4 hours today. This would've saved me the time and effort with the adjustability. I like it!

Previous owner had the jankiest of tubes I had to use until my new proper tube came in. I had to warm up and nearly melt the old tube to stretch it out for a few days. Thankfully all is well now with the JBR tube. such a relief

The shipping weight of the valve is 2lbs,

Our webpage comes up with the following price for shipping across the country (I punched in a zip code for Miami which is about as far away as you can get).

Of course since this is VTA as well as Bypass, it will need a tuning change? I did not notice a need for tuning changes mentioned on the product webpage.

There is no need to change the tune for the installation of the valve.

Count yourself lucky you aren't living in Canada.

$279.99 for the valve
$58.70 cheapest shipping

$338.69 total US

Converted to CDN is $455
+ CDN tax equals a grand total of $477 CDN

Same boat, Torque. My CS BPV has been installed since last July/August and has worked flawlessly, but my inner-ricer wants more choo-choo noises. CS says on their facebook post to give them a call to discuss the possibility of a trade-in deal, but I don't know what they have in mind. I'm curious what opinions would be after a side-by-side comparison of the two valves.

It's funny because if you knew me and the cars I have built and modified over the years you would know that I am not a ricer at all. Hate that whole culture. But although I love the quickness and holding power of my CS BPV, the extra noise of the new valve would be nice. Plus I would still get the other benefits. The extra sound just kind of adds to the experience and driving pleasure of a turbo car if that makes any sense at all.

Probably sure this will not get answered, but have you addressed the build quality of your setup? A few people on here report that when they try and service your original BPV they find that the springs are broken

Completely different spring setup.

I am not sure actually. We never took one of their valves apart.

So I'm guessing another reason to try this valve is because the CS one I have now is prone to breakage? I thought that was just in the beta test units.

Yeah mine did the same. The company that makes the wave spring revised it (made it stronger) and they are sending me a new one. No complaints about CS from me. They are at the mercy of the supplier which obviously had quality issues.

Yeah that was what I was referring to. No means bashing CS. All my other parts from them have worked flawlessly for the last year. I just wanted to see if the quirks have been sorted out since I am interested in this product.
