Wow, I know you were talking about the damage that was done, but it was a lot more extensive than I could have imagined. Car was in amazing shape for being in that state just a few days prior!

Great story, thanks for sharing. I always love it when against all odds, you got the car back together and still ran. Sorry you didn't win, but gotta say, the fact you raced and finished after this crash is an accomplishment in teamwork at a whole new level.

I can say without a doubt that was the most wild week I have had racing. I have not gone back and looked at the g-force load from hitting the wall but I can say it was one the hardest wreck I have ever been in and it hurt. I was wearing a hans, have a containment seat, and I run a right side net which kept my head inside the seat area (they are not required but I have one since it is my life on the line), and I has pretty sore between my shoulders the next day.

We found the transmission leak a few weeks back, there is a hairline crack in the top of the transmission case. When we put the car back together we missed which sucks. I really wanted to get myself on the podium and I feel I could have gotten close without driving on transmission fluid the whole race.

That rental van sucked so bad, haha. That is one hell of a tow out to the event and while the seat in the B-Spec Mazda 2 is comfortable I wouldn't want to sit in it for 3 days of driving.

rental mazda 2 and 5. done and done.

or my wife's corksport'ed out 14 gt hatch will probably be sitting vacant at the hotel during the drives........
