Definitely have some rubber washers on hand when you do it. Stock ones all but flake apart when removing. There are 10 total.

I def like this on the silver and black best, it goes well with the 2013 stock wheels as well.

I would be tempted to just get it in fiberglass finish and have it colour matched to my body, just to mess with other MS3 owners a bit. The fitment looks so good/clean I think only the real MS3 enthusiasts would notice..

No info on temps, i'm FMIC and have been since before I got it.

In theory it seems like you'd see lower temps, specifically when you're moving. If not, it's still a nice piece of rice to look at.

i am unable to provide any meaningful data at the moment since i haven't done any serious data logging with it on. having said that, the logs i have recorded have shown a slightly greater drop in temps from 3k through approximatley 4.4k at which point the temps begin rising. i would say the most significant change is the amount of temps rose from 4k through redline. with the corksport one it rose seven degrees less, so it's obviously breathing better in that condition, which is a good thing.

while it definitely breathes better up top, i would say its greatest attribute is the increased sex appeal it offers your car. if you truly want to reduce BATs, get meth.

Yeah.. right after I posted last I remembered you were running the FMIC, and it's a pretty new product so it makes sense you had the FMIC on b4 the scoop.

Come on, it's not just rice, you KNOW it's keeping the rest of the engine bay at least a little cooler at speed, and THAT's why you bought it.

And it's super sneaky rice if you opt to paint it body colour

Definitely interested in one for painting, in LSM, but for my personal taste/priorities/budget, there are more Corksport parts I'd rather buy first, I'm working my way there.

I would LOVE to test the CS hood scoop VS OEM hood scoop BATs, with before and after data-logs via the v3 AP, also with some multi-meter temp probes.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to do so at some point, I think there are a ton of people on the fence about this hood scoop because they would like to see a bit of proven function to compliment the obvious form.

edit: I should be able to have mine painted OEM LSM during an insurance repair on my front bumper, shouldn't cost me any extra considering we do all the AC/mechanical repairs for the body shop that will be doing my insurance claim work.. Nice choice on wheels btw!
