Oil pressure gauge HELP!
 

I’m fairly new to the MS3 community, I have a 2010 MS3 but the weird thing is, is that my engine is from the Gen 1 MS3 because my oil filter is not a spin on it’s a paper filter, so I was wondering if it was possible to run the conversion kit for a spin off oil filter with the adapter that CorkSport makes so I can tap the oil pressure gauge into the adapter. Unless there is another spot you can tap the engine for a oil pressure gauge?

Yes you can run the gen2 spin-on housing and that adapter.

Thank you for the feedback, and is the CorkSport sandwich plate compatible with the oil filter conversion kit because I can only find that people are using the pro sport sandwich plate, was just wondering I’ve had bad luck with pro sport gauges and would rather not buy there product but if it’s the only one compatible then I will settle.

Just get the OEM Mazda Gen 2 oil filter housing from Edge and put a T-fitting at the stock oil pressure sensor location for your gauge.

I'm guessing he's talking about a andwich plate.
@Thurmannn; yes it will work. I'm running a Mishimoto sandwich plate on my spin-on housing.

Oh, for external oil cooler?

Hmm, I must not be making enough power yet to need such things. I'll figure it out soon enough though. Just waiting on intercooler cores to show up, and fabrication, and installation, and testing......

Oh, that's just craziness. But ya, a t-fitting will only work for a pressure sensor. Temp sensors need to be in the flow, so I guess a sandwich plate is the only option for now.

as said above for pressure reff, you just need a T with the oem pressure sensor

but conversion to gen2 hosing and filter is a peace of mind upgrade that everyone should have with a gen1 speed.
