@CorkSport; @Gwynne@corksport;

Please add to the install instructions of the SSP that you have to use Loctite on the Allen bolt. I went to the track today, did five 20-minute sessions, and the bolt came loose during the last session.

2 months and ~1500 miles of street use:

Needs a bolt on the vertical face so it stays seated and you gotta ditch/move the CS logo.

Yes, I got them. There is no place to bolt to the side without drilling a hole. My second idea would be to make it out of thicker gauge, ditch the logo (Or laser etch the logo), and build a secondary brace structure. See below. Think that would do the trick to overkill the part?

I can understand wanting to keep the install as easy as possible but I had to drill a hole for the bottom bolt on my 03/06 build date MS6 so what's one extra? You could at least leave a hole on the side to help the people out who do want to drill their own hole. If you wanted to go the secondary brace structure route just make sure to trim the piece enough to miss the OEM welds.

Ditching or etching the logo should solve the strength issue and if you paired that with a thicker gauge it would most definitely be overkill.

You should also resolve this issue while you are at it:

Bumping an old thread but it looks like the SSP has been quietly pulled from the website.

I love the shortened throw with this plate but had to retighten the bolt once in a while even if I used red loctite. I took the car to work today and the shifting felt a bit weird and sure it looks like I finally bent the plate so it is back to the stock throw for me.

Maybe they are working on a short shifter instead of a SSP @CorkSport; or maybe I'm day dreaming

They will be back the 2nd week of never at this point. We revised the shift plate with a thicker steel but they were still too close to the trim panel so we decided to kill the part off instead of going with a version 3.

Hey @CorkSport; I loved the short shifting so much I had a version 3 made anyway. My welder added a gusset from the hardest steel he could find (old bottle opener) -- I banged on the gusset with my dick for half an hour and ended up with a bruised up dick so he wasn't lying.
