Sorry. my mistake.. I mean for the extra air flow of the new turbo, will I run into MAF cut out with the COBB. Fitment sounds good, but not sure about the flow. Once again, conservative tune for about 350hp or less.

Oh okay. Makes sense, that I couldn't answer sorry. That's best left to a tuner. But to get 350, I would say a 3" is the best way to go.

A Cobb Intake will make around 365hp worth of airflow. A 3.5" intake on a speed 3 will support north of 600 worth of airflow.

@CorkSport; EBCS arrived, thank you to @jdmage_mx5; truly, my car is Natorbuilt in all sense of the word!

Got the map to start tuning with the 3 port. Will install it this weekend if I get a chance. Will go in at lunch on Monday at the latest, and datalogging will resume.

I am getting some ribs, and wings tomorrow, salmon the day of, for a dinner this week. Smoking most, wife has an amazing way of doing salmon (or I will try to smoke it for the first time-will see). Least I can do for them for what I put em through.

Default Raider's Beta Test of the Corksport Turbo

Fuck yeah smoked salmon FTW. Always had wet brined smoked salmon at the sushi bar but I prefer the dry method.

I find the flavor to be more intense.
I guess I could probably rig something up inside my charcoal grill to smoke fish. Never really thought of it.

Just installed the EBCS at lunch. 1) connector to OEM EBCS does not lock tight. Yay. Taping the hell out of it. 1) Clamp to turbo was not as tight as it could be. Probably an hour 15 thing, but if it was leaking, logs would show that.

1) Install the 3 port hoses before installing the turbo. My regret. Needing micro hands sucks. FML.
2) If you skip lunch to install it, you will forget to reconnect the MSF and get codes P0102, P0113, and ABS U2023. True story.

3) I only had time for a 3rd gear pull and had to get back to work. What will the log and vdyno show? How about 291 hp? Yup.

My car is by and large Nator built. (I keep thinking of Natorbilt, like Peterbilt) but really, there is so many hands that have worked on my car with and for me. For sure I need a Nator Built decal. Saw it at ENM.

Well, nipple cap I ordered-too small. Made a plug using a hose, bolt, zip ties. Will put a real nipple on once I get one. so install kinda sucked.

I see a 3" or 3.5" intake in your near future haha. MAF voltage is at 4.75v by 5500rpm at only 18psi!

You technically only need a larger maf housing air filter and a reducing coupler to get some extra space on the maf reading. Three inch should be ok with an ecu relocate only.

Do not worry. I'm running the stock battery box and battery with a 3.5" aluminum intake. No cutting/fabrication/modification of any of the stock parts were necessary. I removed the front of the battery box and velcroed the ECU to the top of the fuse box. Only thing that sucked about it besides finding a way to jam the coupler and TIP into place honestly was getting that little white plastic box off of the wiring harness.

As long as you have a good variety of well made scissors, snips etc, and you do it while you have everything apart, that white wire housing clip/loom guard/box comes off very easily. I used a 4" fairly wide blade Benchmade folding pocket knife to cut mine off, but I don't recommend it unless you are very comfortable and experienced using pocket knives as tools, as one wrong move and you're gonna cut up some of your ECU wires among other things.

A ECU relocation BBox if definitely not NEEDed, but it does work, and make everything look super clean. Def more work getting one set up properly than installing an intake/SRI.

Either way I love seeing the logs with the car basically stock, and it looks like the CS turbo with some minor tuning is already making an easy 50whp (not to mention the better power band, and that's with that bad boy essentially sucking and blowing through a straw, a bendy straw at that.

i didn't experience extreme difficulty trying to remove it, even tho you do need to be very cautious but deliberate to remove it. i felt like a bomb squad trying to disarm a bomb. it's mostly that it would not stay the fuck away from my intake. if i had an aluminum one, no big deal, but with silicone, that thing needed to fuck off so it had to go. this is the same one i warned you about with the ecu relocate box. i wish i had removed it before installing the box. that box just made it that much more difficult.

Yeah...not as bad as the downpipe. But if you use a Dremel, on it, you get to part out and sell.

thanks for the heads up on the solenoid install. i will switch over to 3 port when i install CS turbo. already switched BB and relocated ECU.
what take some an hour takes me a week and 3 attempts. Swapped out my k04 out 3 times. so getting the hang of that. practice practice practice.
Thanks for keeping us up to speed with the CS Turbo. mine just arrived with injector seals.
while i am in there i will do my JMf intake etc. probably a month of downtime for me : ( lol

Another day, another map. Will be out later to datalog more. We are taking the tune slowly, no "here is the final map" talk yet. Just doing slow and steady with the tune.
