They have a brewery in Tampa. They have been expanding over the years, which pisses me off. Lager should strictly be a 'northern' Mid-Atlantic/North East beer.

In case you did not know, when you order Lager around here, 90% of the time it's Yuengling. Back home where I live, which is 30 mins from their Pottsville brewery, Lager is the only beer and known strictly as Lager. Order it anywhere as Lager.

Although a pilsner, Bitburger is a damn good German beer. I would love to go there as I am of German ancestry.

Yuengling is the only 'popular' beer I'll drink. For me, I prefer Dogfish Head's, Shelter Pale Ale.

That's interesting since there are so many variants of a Lager. Pilsner is a type of pale lager. I live in Portland where damn near every restaurant has a million beers to choose from and a ton of microbreweries and brew pubs. When I travel I tend to just order bourbon because it's hard to find anything but crap like Hamms, Beast, Bud, Coors, PBR, etc. A friend of mine and I found a brew pub in Ann Arbor, MI that was full of white middle age queer looking dudes and the beer tasted like weak home brew. Brew pubs here may have a lot of liberal Subaru wagon people but at least the beer is good and there's actually pussy in the joint.
