(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I was thinking of either the OTC 1532 alum race car jack or the RR56 Race ramps. The OTC jack actually has lifetime warranty unlike others. Either one would be ordered through Amazon. Anybody that has either or similar want to chime in. Right now, my ms3 is stock height with eibach prokit's going in later. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Just buy the race ramps and be done with it... assuming you're not a tard and aren't going to accidentally the entire car on your head.

| Not Ranked : 0 score You can get a Craftsman 2 1/4 and jack stands from Sears for $70. It doesn't have quite the same range as the OTC (5-15" v. 3.5-18"), but mine fits easily under my car at stock height.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I did the same thing. I used to have a more expensive racing jack (which I loved), but that failed. If you use it frequently enough, the Craftsman is almost guaranteed to fail..which means you'll continue to fall within the 1 year warranty. Works out pretty well, if you have a Sears near you to go swap it out at. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I have used the plastic rhino ramps for almost 20 years now and not had a problem. Not lowered, I just push the ramp up to the tire and drive up. Ten, if not lazy, I use my Michelin (Sam's Club buy) floor jack and stands and jack it up and set it on stands. But more often than not, if just oil changing, Rhino Ramps are perfectly fine. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I can't get the stock MS3 up Rhino ramps, and when it's lowered it is hopeless. I use a couple cheap 2 1/2 ton steel jacks for most work. I could just barely get them under the car when it was lowered. I also have a HF "race" aluminum jack. It's great for jacking up the rear of the car but I can't get it far enough under the front to get to the jack point behind the engine. (although I haven't tried since I switched back to stock springs). I also have four jack stands. For most work under the car I jack all four wheels up and put it on stands. With ramps you can't work on the suspension or remove the wheels. Tire rotation is key to avoiding short tire life on this car. I rotate the tires when I change the oil. Yes I could have the tire shop do it but that means driving down there and waiting around, and then checking that they torqued the lug nuts properly. It's easier to do it myself and takes less time. If I could only have one, I'd have a jack and some stands. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score My MS3 fits on Rhino Ramps. It is tight, I usually just kick them to the tire, and I am ok. That is amazing, I see a lot of race teams using race ramps, and they are slammed. Must be the distance from front of car to the wheel is greater on the MS6. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Mine scrapes the black piece on the bottom of the bumper with rhino ramps. Putting down a couple of pieces of plywood makes it easy though. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks for all the input folks. I factored what I would be doing most of the time, which would be oil changes on my car & my girls car, and decided on the race ramps. Should be quick & easy vs jacking up & placing on jack stands. Any work that really needs to have the car jacked up, I can have my brother do as he's a mechanic at a gas station shop. Total price of race ramps + 4 race ramp wheel chocks = $208. Amazon gives you $40 off if you sign up for their visa card, otherwise I would have spent $248. I've never been more excited to change my oil. I'll take pics when I get them. |
