Default $99 for the drivers side engine mount!!!!

We made a mistake in the labor time study and this is more like it. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't have a problem making a 135% mark up on the part but I didn't think it was fair to charge this much. New price has been added to the site for you all to start ordering from.

Thanks.

Yes, that will happen today. Sorry about this guys we have been using "margin" vs "%" for calculating the mark up and this one bit us in the ass.

i'd rather just have the store credit or whatever rather than you refunding and costing you paypal fees, 3% of 50bucks x 10 = don't care but to much for you to worry about it dicking around with it.

There will be no fee accociated with the refund. This is because we addressed it quick enough for any to be attached to them.

Takes a while when you do a mass refund like this, should be there today if not already.

I will check it again but it should be $99 + shipping, I will check right now. Thanks.

They are loaded on the site now and the price change has taken effect, sorry about that.

Finished product pictures are up and we are using 1/2 grade 8 gold anodize bolts with lock nuts and finish washers for all of the bolt or nut locations.

The finished product looks great. I hope it works as good as it looks

Would there be any benefit of going with a higher grade bolt for the main bolt?

wow pt after reading that and looking at it i see what you mean by taking the stress of the one bolt. the part looks great and 1000 times better in finished form. i will be ordering one of these next month or in febuary. is there any plans for the other mount to be made?

Would there be any benefit of going with a higher grade bolt for the main bolt?
Anything higher then the grade 8 would not be necessary due to the material failing before the bolt does (should take over 220k psi before this mount fails).

I don't see this failing anytime soon.

It works much better then it looks. We should have some reviews back here very soon on the mount and I can tell you that the mount in my car made a world of difference and with no additional vibes coming from it.

Thanks and yes the other mount will be ready before the end of the year (prototype will be). We had to make a design change based on the timing cover thickness. The side load mount is not going to work, have to make it a pivot mount style. I am not happy about this but with the trans mount working in conjunction with the rear mount the pass mount should take well to this change. I will post back on my final testing of the new mount here in a few days.

Guys, those that paid with credit cards, its going to take a little longer to get you refunds back to you. I forgot that there is a 2 to 3 days time frame before the transactions for CC's. Sorry that I forgot to mention that in my first post.

That's too bad. I thought the passenger mount looked promising. So now it will look like the stock one then?

Oh, hell no. It will still be similar to the design that we had we just have to take the mount loading out of the bracket and hope that the rear mount is up to the job of holding back the wheel hop.

I designed these mount to aid in controlling wheel hop and not based on the piviot point style like similar mounts on the market. The problem being is that the pass side mount can not take the loading of the mount if we design it this way. When I get the new mount up you will see what I am talking about addressing with the loading with one design vs the other. If need be we can get color spectrum (sp) load simiulators posted up so you can see how the load is getting put into the mount. I will see what I can do to get the done for you guys. Thanks.

with the pivot (mushroom) style mount, if you can get away with using a high grade bolt and very hard polyurethane would probably be the best option, if its not liquid filled you probably won't break it, and if its done correctly shouldn't have a problem also you could one suggestion i could make though would be to weld the head of the bolt to the bottom of the mount make it go through essentially, fill it with window weld pretty much, then mount it using alock washer and a lock bolt, and you should be fine, i can't imagine this mount breaking as on this forum we have only seen 1 occasion of the timing cover mount breaking. Reason for this i believe is that that side of the driveshafts, uses a jackshaft design, shorter being on the drivers side so that means more torque applied to that one (cause of torque steer) and thats why those breakages are happening more frequently on the drivers side of the vehicle. If its real steel and not cast aluminum (brittle as fuck) shouldn't matter. Get some hole shots on some 24.5in slicks and get back to me, or fuck it give it to me and i'll do it see if i can break it.

If you have the slicks to test it with, you get one for free.

The design is posted here in my section and I hope to have the design changes made this week on the drivers side mount. If this doesn't fix the problem then I know what will, I hope to have pictures up of those this week as well. Stay tuned on that fix.
