Checked my MS3 MPG today

Calculated my miles and the fuel I used and came out to 24.3 . This is all city driving no HWY.

What you guys think ?

I keep a gas mileage ledger for the purpose of car health. If mpg changes for no reason it can be vital to finding issues you may not of known you had...

I try to calculate mine the best I can. Always put in 3 gallons of e, and 3 gallons of 93 when I get to empty. Then measure when it's out.

mine do between 20 and 25mpg with mixed driving on 91 +W/M i never succeeded to grandma drive a full tank to see if i can to better. It is more about smile per galon than miles....

You guys are assholes. I get 18.8mpg with 93 and meth. With majority of that being highway. Now granted that will probably go up in summer with summer tires and less warm up time before I drive.

I'm between 20 and 22 most tanks...closer to 20 though. Nearly all city driving. I do get better on the freeway though.

If you do too well, why not consider having a GS or Gt because you probably don't need the turbo often

That's actually with a couple of pulls a week (at my job over the summer we tried to hit high scores on the on ramp to the highway), but that's pretty much all highway driving (500 miles a week). My car sees about 31 mpg highway and like 18 city. There are plenty of times I throw fuel economy in the trash for fun, but it's nice to know that when I drive to Knxoville at least once over the summer, it doesn't cost me as much as it could.

i was kidding, it is about the same for me.
I'm not pushing the car each time i have a little space in front of me.....But i push it entering the highway or i really love to pass a slow as much quick as i can on a single way road. The rest of the drive, my boost gage reads mostly vacuum....

At the end, economy is not bad at all if you ever drove a carburator car.....Fun and mpg are at opposite ends so there is no points to get a fast car and just drive it like a corrola....

I get 19-20 mpg commuting to work. 80 miles a day. California gas is expensive. I need a hybrid.

I'm at about 24.2 over 5+ years. Only city, but lucky for me "city" isn't stop and go traffic jam. My commute is pretty mild.

The carputer say's it is 27. It's sad that they can't get that right.

Over time, I've found that the ECU-computed MPG is about 10% higher than actual.

About two years ago, I started playing with the cruise AFRs (based on what I read here in the forums) and manage around 25mpg in mixed condition driving and around 30mpg cruising at 75mph on road trips - all on crappy 91 octane CA pump gas and one-step-colder plugs. If folks are interested, I'd be happy to post snap-shots of the O/L and C/L fueling tables - no mysteries here.

In the current configuration, my MS3 gets better overall mileage than my wife's 2018 CX-3.

Lol I would too, but you also have to understand that as per another thread, my cylinder #3 has 110 compression and an almost completely failed leakdown. My driving habits will change this summer when I'm no longer worried about catastrophic failure.

Mixed driving, for the longest time I've averaged between 22-25 mpg. I actually got a few more MPG with all my mods. Problem is I now drive like a bigger asshole, so a lost what I gained. But the fun factor makes up for it.

Don't worry so much, i drove 1 year with a broken ringland and i was still making quick pull with 25+ psi. I even went to a dyno day to see what it could do on 3.5cyl. At that time, i though it was just the ceramic part of a broken spark plug that managed to score the cylinder wall until i open it up and found the real cracked piston
