Corksport short shifter kit (not the plate)

So I finally got around to installing the Corksport short shift kit (not the plate)

I decided to leave my plate on at Max for now, I know that's a big question. Do you need both? No, but you can have both. With the lever at 35% and the plate at 40% and it reminds me of the STI shifter with the STI short shift kit in throw. Very notchy (in a good way for me) very direct. I have the hiegth set about 80% of Max hiegth.

A few things of note. The shifts them selves feel crisp and notchy. But when in gear the shifter feels loose. Like it can wiggle around a lot. I suspect this has to do with heigth, I do plan on lowering it A bit.

The arm not being bent. If you are normal size I can see this being potentially an issue as 5th is moved away from you. How ever I'm a big fat guy and I love not haveing 1-2 gear on my leg. I love the position.

You are going to want to find someone to help you pop off a clip that requires 1 person to pull up on the clip and the other to pry out the arms, and if you break the clip, it will be expensive as you have to buy the whole shifter housing to get a new one. (This isn't Corksports fault)

I had a problem with 3rd 2nd grinding on super hard pills with the plate. This seems to be eliminated with this shifter. I'm assuming it's the angle.

Seriously the throws are so nice and crisp now. I do plan on seeing what I can do with the added slop. But over all this was a great buy and I highly recommend it.

My second gear seems a bit less direct lately, like I can feel the sycro meshing, is this similar to what you were getting in 3rd and 2nd? If so this was something I was looking at to eliminate this meshing feeling. Then of course maybe stopping it from getting worse??
