(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I was going to rebuild my K04 that just went out but I found some on ebay listed as brand new but look very suspicious. Has anyone bought one from these sellers and if I buy one is there anything I should look out for besides shaft play? They're around $135.00 which seems too cheap but they claim it's OEM. Unfortunately, I do not know what these should be priced at so I'm wanting to know if this is way too cheap to be real. https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Mazda-M...00ce:rk:1:pf:0 https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-For-Maz...xZjQ:rk:2:pf:1 https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Mazda-M...frcectupt=true Some of the reviews look suspicious as well.. | Not Ranked : 0 score Chinese copy. One of those sellers has a brand new "GT35R" listed for $148. Lol. A new oem turbo retails around $1100.

| Not Ranked : 0 score A good rebuilt one from a reputable company (like BNR) will be around $400-$450 if the core is good, but it will still be a K04 and subject to seal failure and smoking. I wanted to stay with stock flow, so I went with a BNR Stage 1 turbo. It is a K04 externally, but has been modified for GT28 series CHRA. The seals are much better and are not likely to fail. It is compatible with the stock ECU if you are not tuned, or can be tuned with any tune compatible with a K04 and your mods. It is currently $950 shipped. Maybe more than you want to pay, but better in every way than buying a new K04 from Mazda. I'd stay away from Chinese knock offs.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I have been beating on my Rotomaster CHRA for a few years. I paid $350cdn for it. Now that I have the support to go with a different turbo I will. But at $350, it has put up with 17.5 psi and self tuning. Food for thought.
