Robbinsville, NC Saturday 7:30AM - Breakfast 1. We don't all need to eat together... it's nice, but it creates a lot of havoc... Install/Free time 1. If you do plan on doing some installs, please be sure you are 100% Self Sufficient with tools/materials. 9:00AM - Car Wash - 520 Rodney Orr Bypass, Robbinsville, NC 1. Bring buckets and materials, there are only 4 bays, and there will be a lot going on. The faster we can get in and out the better. 11:00AM - Lunch 1. We don't all need to eat together... it's nice, but it creates a lot of havoc... :: Car Show :: 12:30 SHARP - (be parked and ready) 80 Knight Street, Robbinsville, NC 1. We should line cars up based upon car type and have this pre-designated 2. We need to make sure we 'register' each car for the show, I may do this ahead of time, and then we can have a sign up at the meet as well... 3. Each car owner also needs to get a raffle ticket. 4. We need to set a time/voting rules/eligibility etc... 1:00 - 1:30 - Voting 1. Everyone votes! 1:45 - 2:00 - Awards 1. First through fifth! 2. Some surprises 2:00 - 2:45 - Raffle/Door Prizes 1. Be sure to have your tickets ready. 2. Buy-in Raffle (IF WE HAVE ONE) will be at the end. 2:45 - 3:00 - Prep for dragon 1. We want to try and break everyone down into groups of 10-15 cars to make things go smoother out there on the road. 2. | Not Ranked : 0 score Alternative lodging is at the Microtel - 2011 - Other Lodging - PLEASE POST WHERE YOU ARE STAYING (and the price) The mansion though, has room to sleep 24 people... and it's where the most fun will be for sure! We have plenty of space right now in the mansion and it's likely we'll have additional room for air mattresses etc if need be! There's a huge fucking basement  - This also helps because you don't have to worry about driving and all that shit and you can just have fun with everyone.Hope you can make it out!

You go up to about 6,000 feet and it's long and twisty... you can really let the car breathe and being that we're going in October should be some fantastic air, not to mention great spots for photo ops Scott (08Cosmic3 the OP of the thread) took this ... | Not Ranked : 0 score There are already 2 dragon runs scheduled, a skyway run, Hellbender 28 run (if there's time and interest) - and of course a run up to Fontana dam... Given, these are mostly taking place on Thursday and Friday but we have at least 1 dragon run with EVERYONE after the car show for some awesome pics/vids... Last year's location was pretty crappy and way too crowded... just as OBX was going to be... hence why we went back to where we had the most fun and enjoyment...

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I'll be there for the Thursday morning drive and will also go out again Friday morning. I'm going down to the Deals Gap Rotary Rally this weekend for 3 days which willl be my 3rd trip since last June. I know my way around much more now than I did in 2009. I'll lead the group rides both days if there isn't anyone else that wants to lead. If you lead you have to be prepared to haul ass though, sightseers to the rear. We will stop many times both days so all can catch up. Stops are usually around 15-20 minutes for photo's drinks, bathroom breaks. Saturday's Dragon run after the show will be more of a parade than a spirited run. Saturday the roads get crowded and you really can't go fast anyway. I'm in for making a night run Thursday and/or Friday night. At night you can push harder and lift if you see oncoming lights around the corner. It's fun to push it but always hold back some, keep it on the road and in your lane. Now I just have to decide on my Halloween costume for the big party Saturday night.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score If anyone needs a cheap place to stay there is a fantastic camp ground nearby, Cheoah Point Campground. We stayed there last October at Dragon Camp. Camp sites are $15 a night, clean bathrooms and showers, plenty of parking, fire rings, cheap fire wood down the road from locals, right off Hwy 129 and about six miles from the Smokey Mountain Mansion were the center of activity will be. They have a few cabins there but they are very simple with no amentities. Pics of my camp site last october and views of the lake from the site.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Chosing a cabin will mean having a roof over your head incase it rains. I maybe wrong but I think the cabins and sites are first come first serve that time of the year, I don't beleive you can reserve them that late in the season, so check on that.
