Default Exhaust Question

Does the Cobb downpipe mate to an HKS Cat Back or is there another pipe to connect the two?

[Downpipe]-----[Test pipe/mid pipe]-----[catback exhaust]

Edit: Here's a pic for the reading impaired

The thing that has to be considered is "long" or "short" downpipe.. I spent about an hour reading the exhaust thread and the DP thread before I realized what was in bold red with the difference.

if your stock one mounts to the hks catback and the cobb dp mounts to a stock catback then yes, it will fit no problem.

@4G63, cobb only makes a long downpipe (that I know of) so the test pipe is eliminated and his question is valid. That street unit picture really needs to be updated since there are both long and short downpipes out there.

Thank you everybody! Still new to Speed 3's... So from what I can tell a CNT or COBB long downpipe would bolt to a cat back where a Corksport short downpipe would need a midpipe to connect to a cat back exhaust.

Gracias!

Generally if the downpipe has a cat it's long and connects to te catback...if it is catless it would require a test pipe/race pipe....Corksport actually makes both now...long downpipes with cat...and a short catless
