(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I am a noob in the mod world so this might be a silly question: What is the advantage of the Externally Wastegated Turbo manifold since the power gains look to be the about same as the tubular but the price difference is $200. Thanks

| Not Ranked : 0 score stock turbo- tubular manifold aftermarket turbo- EWG Your stock turbo ko4 spools quickly so boost creep is not too much of an issue. If your mods meet your sig id say go tubular manifold and dp and you will feel quite a difference in power across the board plus quicker spool time. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks I am also just curious as to what the external wastegate adds to the manifold.

| Not Ranked : 0 score external wastegate adds just that... an external wastegate, you wont have boost creep with your setup now; however, we can get you setup with a manifold at a great deal, and package it with our new fuel pump internals and an EMS! Feel free to PM me with questions/orders. -Jeff at PG

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Basically I suppose I will go with the tubular manifold because it doesnt seem like the externally wastegeted mani will be of benefit to me.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I simply intend to provide information and a solution that is viable for the OP, I am here not only to sell (options) but to provide technical support. To answer nobmod's question, no, it is not necessary nor a wise expenditure of your money to go external wastegate on stock turbo. However, if you get the EWG now , you can futureproof for big turbo later. -Jeff at PG

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score It's good to know when the EWG is necessary and I would also like to know if someone can get me a good deal on parts since I already made up my mind to use PG for my manifold. That is why I came to there section.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Put the mani on the car let it turne bronze color and wear in, then take it off and get it jet coated. If you coat fresh polished manifold, overtime most coats come off. PS Jeff that was not personal what so ever, I like PG and really appreciate your effort towards the community. If you knew me personally you would'nt take half of the shit I say seriously

![]() <---no hard feelings seriously. The Mani's can be Jet Hotted and guaranteed to hold fast! However, the manifolds are being redesigned for better clearance and flow. This new design will be released in time for mod season, and will have EWG option. They will also have erm... flange OPTIONS!!!! We are also considering a top loader design if there is enough interest in the community. IMO, EWGs are not necessary unless going with an upgraded turbo option. -Jeff at PG
