Well seller name is forgeusa and this. It says to contact forge for any questions. I will call them and find out. Also i was told other member have brought this and everythig was fine

I called forge directly and told them I wanted the v1. At the time they still had a few on hand not sure if they do anymore.

Message the dealer through eBay. If they says its a real one and you get it and its crap, file a dispute, couch fuck and get a turbosmart. Or if cash is tight, get the new Corksport one that just came out.

I know I'm new here, but just saw the post and thought I'd chime in:

I saw the Forge for sale the other night, and saw a TurboSmart BPV (Not 50/50) also for sale at $115 (Used obviously). I decided to pull the trigger on the Forge instead, since it was new.

It arrived in the correct Forge Box. It is a V1, and came with the correct Yellow, Blue, and Red springs + 2 shims. It also came with the "Forge MotorSports" sticker. I went with the Chrome one just FYI.

Unit has been installed on my MS6 and works great. Of course, it is a V1, so it does make the distinct "CLANG" sound, but I like it thus far. It seems to me that Forge is trying to liquidate their V1 BPVs, hence the price. According to my AP, I'm holding boost just fine.

I attached a picture showing the E-mail I received from them shortly after order. Everything seems to check out. Even showed it to the COBB guys in Plano today when I went and picked up my V3, and they didn't seem to notice anything amiss.....so I'd say it's 100% legit.

No problem. Hope to be more than just a "Brownie" here soon. I'll try to toss up a donation here in the coming week (little strapped right now after buying my Intake, TiP, Forge, and V3.....which I'm still drooling over every time I get in the car...)

Also, just as a useful bit of info: With TiP, Intake, and Stage 1 Cobb Tune, I'm running the Blue spring with no shims. Holds great with no compressor surge. Hit 15.5-16.5 PSI without issues.

They are already on my list. Had a guy that was getting rid of his MS6 this past week that was going to sell me his internals for $200 + my stock one....but he ended up turning the car over the dealer as a trade in before committing to the deal with me (Which would have included a nice NVIDIA Down Pipe as well).

I've lurked MSF for awhile (as well as other forums), but after a friendly "run" with a White Speed 3 here in Dallas, he urged me to really get on so that I could acquire more parts/general knowledge. Before ANYTHING else gets done (except maybe the Rear Diff. Mounts) I'll definitely be getting the HPFP internals. Kind of didn't even want to get this far into the mod process without having them, but I'm keeping a close data log of my pressure..... but can foresee those internals being in my IMMEDIATE future.

Anyhow time to get back on topic...

According to the Quantity #'s, there is more than 10 available for each color, so I think you will be fine. The chrome one only has 4D 11H left for the listing (So I'd hope they re-post it) but the black has 18D still left on the posting.

Well just to forwarn you. You cannot post links to outside sale ads. Don't want you to get an infraction. The shipping was quick, it was definitely forge because they forgot a o-ring and I called and they took care of me. They were obviously sitting for a while and needed to be greased. I also ordered a polished one but got sent a black one but I could care less.

I noticed that you stated you had to re-grease the unit. What type of grease do you use for that? I was thinking I would just add a drop or two of pneumatic tool oil at every oil change or other oil change to make sure it had a nice glide to it. Is it better to use the grease vs. oil?

Do not do that! You need to use some sort of bearing grease. Mobil 1 220 synthetic bearing grease is good. I used some castrol grease I had at work. Basically just use heavy duty bearing grease and you're good!

Edit: Dis shit. I read that you're supposed to use synthetic somewhere but this is good high temp, heavy duty grease. Usually used for wheel bearings. And it was red so it matched what was already on the BPV (: I just figured while I had the BPV in my hand I would service it so it will be good for a while. It was greased up when I got it but a little dried up.

Hey guys yeah i did order off of ebay and yes it was from forge them selfs they are just selling on ebay. I been running it for a few months now and it works perfect. I cant remember what spring it had in it but here is the rule of thumb from the company.

Just a heads up, I'm still running mine.

I pulled it the other day and re-greased everything. I did notice a slight problem...it seems as if the blue spring may have widened out a tad bit (or possibly it was that tight when I first got it?) but it has caused a little bit of wear on the inside of the piston where it sits.

I checked with my red and yellow springs, and they wall right into the piston, where the blue one is a supper tight fit now. I've switched to the yellow + 2 shims for right now until I contact Forge today and see what's up with the spring.

And just FYI, the yellow + 2 shims seems to hold boost just as easy as the blue did. 15.5-16.5lbs peak, with about a 1 psi max tapper.

EDIT: Just got off the phone with Forge. Awesome guys with excellent support. Shawn just had me send an e-mail with the problem, requesting a rebuild kit and new spring, and supply my info where to ship it. Definitely top notch.
