Fuck it, I'm ordering one. I can't seem to get rid of knock no matter which map I put on the car, so this might do the trick. I already have the rev. C turbo, but this won't hurt.

is my EGR/PCV system the only correctly working one EVER? I installed a pnp intake mani last week and my stock intake mani had nothing in it. Was perfectly clean, even the egr just had a bit of splatter that was it. Stock mani had 34k miles on it never had OCC installed. Oh and car doesn't smoke either.

I'm not sold on this 'long trip boom' scenario...especially after two long trips from MI to SC without issue in my car.

I agree, I feel it's a myth and not relevant. I drove from Arizona to South Dakota pretty much straight through, which was 1,400 miles one way and then drove back to Arizona a few days later and put over 4,000 miles on my car in 5 days and it's still running fine. I was even a little low on oil on my way home and no issues. I even ran my car pretty hard as I had a lot of run in's with vettes, sportbikes or other misc cars that wanted to run on the interstate. I was board from driving so why the hell not? Even after pushing my car really hard while on a looong drive, still no issues. I've put almost 10,000 miles more on my car since that trip and it's still running strong. I do not have an OCC, and i've never seen my car smoke at idle or cruise or WOT, so i must be a fortunate one. I'm just rolling up to 30,000 miles on my 2007 Speed3.

Tuesday, I would have to say that the only failure from our pumps is going to be improper install but to be on the safe side we are going to be testing them on a car prior to shipping.

It will not hurt at all, but we are still testing the knock and the effects that the restrictor has on the system. Should have more results in about 2 weeks time, thanks.

We have more testing (a lot) to verify if it helps with the knocking conditions, if you have a way to test for knock we will be making a thread for those buying these so people can verify or deny that its helping with knock. Thank for the order.

No idea and in order to test that its going to take months and possible blown motors to verify. Not sure if I want to push this fix that far but on the other hand if it did, that could mean 1000's of these sell versus 100's. I will see what kind of testing I can get done before the end of the year to verify this.

That is what saved your motor, the higher RPM, the run ins with the other bikes and cars. The long trip boon cannot be verified, but you can not deny that several people have popped their motors after a long trip and always a consistent throttle input from cruise to WOT that causes the motor to go. Could be coincidence, but I would highly doubt it. Its those that beat on their car that seem to have the best luck with them, go figure. Thanks for the order.

i hope this alleviates the PT KR. It seems that now that its been in the 90s this week i get KR at 2.5-2.7k rpm every time in first gear, and in some of the other gears.

My testing so far (about 150 miles) seems to show that it doesn't completely eliminate PT throttle knock, but vastly reduces it (95%+ in my testing so far.) There is a hill right by my house that I use to test. I can cruise up it in 4th gear, get it to around 2600 RPM and then give it the right amount of gas and induce knock pretty much at will. Since putting the fix in, I have not been able to induce knock in this way. I still get occasional PT knock, but nothing like before and can not induce it anymore.

In the next couple of days I am going to drive the hill, verifying that I can't induce knock, then pull the restricter out and drive the hill again to see if I am able to. Right now though, it really looks like it helps the PT Knock situation quite a bit. Please note that I also have my PCV valve relocated to the valve cover.
