Mazda is so pathetic. I will never own another. I have had so much bs luck with them over the years over warranty work. Never mattered what it was they always found a way to not warranty any of my vehicles. Hell ive had such shit luck with them when I buy new cars I dont buy them for warranty cause I know they wont be warrantied and Ill end up fixing the problem myself.

yea this will be last mazda,gay is not even the word.@grantnm yea its every couple of seconds or so,most def the vvt and strechted belt. i also dont buy cars for warranty if u ask me i say its a waste of our time.

@dereek i have everything but internals so the valve cover was never opened,i even did them the favor in throwing in the stock tmic to stay under the radar.

I just had a very similar sound diagnosed as the serpentine belt tensioner. It was only 110 or so from online mazda parts and something you can do in < 30 minutes. Does it get louder when you listen by your wheel well?

i never noticed it that it would get louder cuz my hks muffles everything.but when i do put the ac on it does make the sound,i might try that first.if all fails i might buy the vvt acuator from cox performance which is much durable.who knows what mazda might do as far as the replacing with the same shitty part.after all its not a recall its an exstention...
