(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Last weekend i had the opportunity to do a compression test on my 1st gen while i was doing some other friends cars. 219K on the odo and only mod is a cobb SRI, The numbers im getting are as follows and unfortunately, i do not have wet test numbers but would assume they would be in the mid to high 160-170 with a wet test. (Dry test) 5 trys until peak per cyl. 219889 Kilometers Cyl 1 - 155 psi Cyl 2 - 150 psi Cyl 3 - 160 psi Cyl 4 - 155 psi No current issues with the vehicle, i was just interested in seeing what numbers i had since i bought it. im wondering what current numbers other people have with higher mileages vehicles. The reason is because i have found a few threads pertaining to compression tests with much lower mileage motors and similar readings (some as low as 71k) and wanted some opinions.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The important thing is to have near equal reading and this is about what you got. The altitude, gage, tests conditions etc can affect the final numbers but all 4 will be affected by the same parameter so if all 4 are equal, it is looking very good. I wouldn't worry about it. Your #2 is a bit lower but it isn't a ringland, it would be worse than this. i was worried at first because peoples talk about +/-180psi and the best i got with any of the 3 mzr i had + 1 rebuild, remain at best at 165psi.....I tested 2 gages and i used the same place to test them with throttle body opened etc and i never got 180 on any...
