(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Hey guys was just reading around and noticed a couple of people stated that adding a SRI and a Sidewinder SURE turbo inlet pipe requires a tune? I read a couple of posts saying they had to cause the engine was acting weird and could not handle the two upgrades without a tune. Is this correct? I just added a K&N intake kit and thinking of installing the SURE sidewinder pipe and was just wondering if I could get some clarification kinda have mixed posts about what should happen if these are installed. My car is currently stock except for the K&N SRI kit. Thank you. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score you probably don't need a tune. If I was you, i'd save they money and put it towards something else. A turbo inlet pipe only adds like 1-3 horsepower. And they will make your car sound like a goose during mating season. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I read a couple of reviews stating the original inlet hose falls off to easily like u can literally pull it off with the clamp on and that the original is a piece of crap. Also read that is restricts the airflow causing some problems later down the road. Again this is just what i read from people that have installed it. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Haha well I did get the Sidewinder turbo inlet pipe. I am impressed with the product just makes the turbo louder really. The original turbo inlet sucks ass! Pulling the original off practically fell of with no effort kinda makes me wonder what would of happened if it fell off while driving . It does sound pretty mean when u punch it though. Anyways, yeah I know money well spent right lol. 180$ |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I don't think it would fall off while driving - where would it go? It's so tight back there that people with larger hands have to take out the battery tray to install it. I think if you have a gen 2 CBE will net you more gains than a gen 1 - the way ours is designed with the dual exits looks like it would be more of a restriction than the gen 1. Just speculation though, I have no concrete data to back that up. I'd like to see some before/after logs of a car with the stock CBE and then again with an aftermarket CBE. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Don't bother with the CBE unless you're just going for sound and looks. Get a down-pipe, thats what I should have done, and what I will be doing next. Cat-back didn't give me any noticeable gains, although it does sound much nicer and look good.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The CBE and TIH may only give you a weak sneeze worth of power, but they help with the airflow and set you up for better tunes with an AP. If you look at the cobb AP maps for the ms3, it asks if you have upgraded intake, TIH, intercooler, and fuel pump. The more upgrades you get, the more the AP can do. |
