(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I'm new here and I have always appreciated the MazdaSpeed vehicles. Recently I have come across a 2007 MS3 with 190,000 miles. I've been given the carfax which shows the car as having 1 owner and 46 service records. The majority of the records are from dealership servicing. The vehicle is priced a $2,900. I am wondering what you guys think about this is it worth the purchase? There are very minimal modifications to the car. and it appears to be in good shape interior and exterior. Any information would be much appreciated as I'd like to potential go see the vehicle in person very soon. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Official "I am looking to buy a used Mazdaspeed, what should I look for?? i would recommend bringing a mechanic with ya or getting a ppi (inspection) are you pretty car savy or familiar with fixing cars? 190k is a ton of miles for a turbo'ed car., granted how they drove it and how they maintained it plays a huge role.. see if its the original engine. try posing pics of the car and maybe someone on here will recognize the owner |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I agree with whatsabrooklyn, it all depends on your knowledge and how mechanically inclined you are. I am a certified mechanic, and I also fix jets for a living but these cars are unique in their own way. No harm in negotiating either, due to the mileage. I'd say $2500 is a fair price. Keep us updated, and let us know if there is anything we can do to help you with your search. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I was planning to go look at it this weekend, When I texted the guy he let me know that the car is having issues. It will start but won't stay running. I decided against taking the 3-4 hour drive round trip if the car wasn't running. As for mechanically inclined I'm no mechanic by any means but I have done the basics in the past, oil, plug, suspension. I've also swapped a transmission out with the guidance of a friend. The car has just been relisted for $2,000 as a result of it not running, though it starts. Seller "thinks it's a fuel pump." Here's a photo of the vehicle: 00q0q_745hSLMI3C2_1200x900.jpg Last edited by KingLois; 09-30-2019 at 02:32 PM. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score 2k is a great price, but you may have to drop 4k in a new engine at some point (unknown) or get a new turbo etc.... unless you know what he / she did in the past as far as maintenance, it is unclear weither or not it is worth it. if you want it as a project car and you have like 6k to dump into it, then you can make it pretty quick. if its your DD, then you may want to hold off if you're bargain hunting, again it depends on what maintenance is done to it. |
