(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I just got done doing the clutch in my 08 Gen 1 and noticed the abysmal state of my PMM (Passenger Motor Mount) and TMM (Transmission Motor Mount). The RMM was not bad since it was a Corksport Race RMM (Rear Motor Mount), but had definite signs of wear. That being said, I'm in the market to replace all 3 mounts and I'm finding it hard to chose which brands of mounts to use. After doing a bunch of research, it seems that the new Corksport Stage 2 RMM is probably the best RMM, but when it come to the other 2 mounts I'm up in the air between the Corksport and Damond mounts. I'm a very big fan of Corksport's products and would like to use all 3 Corksport mounts, however from what I gather, the Damond mounts, while may be equivalent in performance, are very good with NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness). I can't seem to find many discussions comparing these brands against one another. At most it may be a discussion in regards to the RMM's but not much in the way of comparing the PMM and/or the TMM. I've also seen discussions of people running the "Trifecta" or "Trilogy" of each brands mounts but again no comparison between the brands. Most reviews I've read on these mounts also seem to be based off of fresh installs with little updates after "breaking in" the mounts, not that there are none. So I'm looking to you guys to see if anyone has experience with running all these mounts or some kind of mixture of them. I'm expecting a definite increase in NVH which is fine, but might as well go with the options that will offer a little less NVH at little cost to performance. I'm also open to any other suggestions whether it be other brands or tips and tricks. As it stands I'm kinda leaning toward the Corksport Stage 2 RMM, and Damond Mounts for the other 2. But my OCD is tellin' me go with the Corksport Trifecta! Opinions? |
