Default MS6 REBUILDER IN PA?

Hey guys I don't post on here much but was wondering if anyone has any advice on my long sad journey through a rebuild. Dec 2015 gave my car to a mechanic who specializes in awd turbo cars. He is a local mechanic so I wanted to support the area. I heard mixed reviews and also got other estimates but decided on staying local so I could see the progress and be able to be close by. The long and short of it is they took out the engine in 2015 and it sat inside for about 6 months. I visited on and off for weeks and he always told me next week or when I get this car I'm working on finished. It's now 2017 and my car has been sitting outside rusting away and the only thing done is the head. The block still needs work done and I have contacted every outlet out there and they all say they can't get an answer. The worst part is I'm going to have to file a civil suit to get my money I put out for half the parts and labor. O yeah the estimated job was supposed to be 6-8 weeks. Any input would be greatly appreciated by any of you.

Are you anywhere near york pa, your car and that area looks familiar. Personally do what your doing by suing his ass, show up though while you wait with a jerr dan, pick ur car up. Haul it to one of your local trustable years in service garages and order a LKQ remanned engine, im running one right now with over 350 to the crank, with over 10k miles and no issuez, paid 3500. 1 grand to install 9t along with some xtra power adders. they come with a 3 year 75k mile warranty on the long block, and if you have a good relatuonship with ur garage well then. OR you can go the way you been going and hope this douche who has your car finishes it. At least doing what i say will get you an awesome drivable car back on the road relatively cheap, and you can pay sp63 to start building you a real block in while your driving.

If you're near frazer I have a buddy I can vouch for that helped me do mine. Works at a dealership and does work on the side.

My vote is either do the LKQ/edgeautosport route if you plan on staying mildly stock or have sp63 build you a long or shortie. They built my shortblock and did a good job.

I thought at one point edge had a pretty stout no questions warranty on their rebuilt units.

If you live in lehigh valley, you should be taking your car to SpeedPerformance in Linden, NJ. It's only an 1.5 hr drive away. From the looks of the photos, it looks like you picked the shadiest place possible to fix your car. Looks more like a strip shop than a performance shop. Also, you put out money for parts and labor before said parts were installed on the car with a guy you never worked with before?? What were you thinking?! Car repairs are Cash on Delivery especially when you haven't worked with the shop before. Source your own parts and pay the man once he installs and you verify the car is working correctly. Recognizing this, your current situation is partly your fault. Doesn't excuse the bullshit tho. Definitely file a compliant in small claims. All the more reason to learn to do this shit yourself.
