In that case...

I'd love to see a fmic kit that replaces the entire front cross member on the ms6. It'd have to replace the two brackets on both sides, cause those are the main support for the whole radiator assembly. Then a 1 or 1.5 inch tube stock could be run across and provide a tab for the hood latch, and mounting brackets for a core like the treadstone TR10.

Here's a mock up of the tr10 on my bumper, showing how tits it would look:

The two black lines show where the core stops and the end tanks start. it'd perfectly fill the girll . But it'd also mean that the user would have to remove or relocate the windshield washer tank for side to side routing, but there are quite a few running a similar route path already.

I'm just gonna cut the cross member off personally, and weld on the tube stock straight to the existing bracketry. Mainly cause i don't want to spend the time to copy the brackets lol. Only have to cut 4 welds.

I was asked last week by a few people to make a front crash bar - I guess to make more room for a FMIC and so I already ordered and received some 6160 Aluminum bars which I use to make crash bars . Not sure if you've seen others we've made but heres one for an Evo 9 .

Well , that fancy one replaced this one which the customer was willing to "TEST OUT" for us . This one took a road-side poll and placed it in the brush and still held most of its shape .

Here it is on the car , 2 weeks later it was TESTED !!

Hahaha, i was gonna comment on how haggard the core looked in the first pic, now i know why.

IC vs street pole is indeed a damn good test lol. Glad your kit came out on top, and the later one looks awesome man!

If you used a TR8, still 510 HP efficient, you can get it with the left endtank exiting on the top of the intercooler. This would work for the 6 at least I think and save moving the washer tank?

Defniitely. A minimum labor bolton FMIC would be sweet for an MS6.

Yeah, That's similar to what RR is doing, but i'm just not a fan of how long the routing ends up. IMO if i'm cutting the cross member off, and fabbing a full custom IC setup, i can go the extra mile and move my WW tank.

but i agree, it's a possible solution for those unwilling to move the tank.

I will find what I think to be the best solution for the piping which gives the best overall results . Just because someone finds an easy path for piping doesn't mean its the best path.

We'll see what ends up happening , I like to work around things but yet get good results .

good shit here. maby you could offer a replacement WW tank foe people who run the piping side to side? this would have to be a universal fit somewhere that would work in most cases.

how bout a sheet metal intake manifold? there currently isent one on the market for this car.

I need to locate a stock intake manifold to jig up the mounting points . Making the intake mani will not be an issue , I already have some ideas its just a matter of just doing it !

For many the stock TB will be plenty , much of the gains will come from the mani its-self .

An aftermarket IM would be a HUGE seller on this site. HUGE!

I have a stock IM layin here if you wanna mock one up.

The stock TB is good to about 430hp, less if you count the restriction of the butterfly. I also cant remember the velocity through the TB at that CFM, but it was getting close to sonic.

The Chrysler 300 hemi DBW TB is supposidly a "bolt on" and its huge, I think they go to 90mm on overbore sizes. You can buy the pig tail for that TB if the connector is different, but I think that was what they meant by bolt on. Also I think it uses the same signal voltage, but our ECU would have to be recalibrated to run properly.

In regards to a possible fmic kit....

Here are the brackets i mentioned that hold the whole radiator assembly together:

So if it was gonna be a bolt up assembly (to save the customer from 3 hours of cutting like i had to do today lol), it'd be best if this brackets were part of the kit.

so much room for sweet intercooler goodness

On the MS6 I am fairly certain that nothing other than that bar in the middle bolts to it, except maybe the temp sensor for possibly the radiator fans. I know there is a sensor in front of the radiator but I cant remember what exactly it attaches to.

I'm just waiting to confirm everything about it from the customer , the car still has two cats - one should be coming off so we can run he car this Friday . So far this DP has replaced an ATP unit which was cat-less but the exhaust had one cat already . We made this DP with a cat but did not remove the second cat which was already there as part of the exhaust and so far the car has not lost power even as it now has TWO cats - that second cat is coming off on Thursday so we do expect a small gain of about 5-8hp over the ATP DP .

Lol, i'm not sure if you were being sarcastic when you said "i've gotta be kidding you".

but i think you were serious, and could definitely come up with a bar / plate bolt on solution for us. Really wouldn't be that difficult at all. I wish i lived closer, cause i'd give you my car for measurements and fitment.

Nice job on the DP btw!

LOL , no I was talking in general about the parts for these cars ! Everytime I'm told " yeah , no one does it like that because it wouldn't work " - I end up doing it and it turns out its not hard at all to make ; it just make me wonder how much actual real time have people put into part making for these cars . To me its more like seriously - why hasn't anyone made better parts for these cars - just makes no sense to me .
After seeing how much room freed-up I'm now coming up with all sorts of ideas for a FMIC , this is gonna be killer !!

lol , oh yeah - this is looking VERY sweet indeed !! This little bit of wait is actually working out good , its given me the chance to think of other jobs I've done in the pass and coming up with ways of applying them to this platform . I haven't been this excited about making parts for a car since back in 2008 when I got my evo x . The wait will be worth it , feel free to hold me to that - save this page if you like

ATTENTION Speed 3 owners:

Looks like I've found a 3 , so the downpipe and other parts for it will be done fairly soon - that includes a NEW intake manifold
