Default *NOTICE* Trackmasters Ecu Relocation Bracket

Approved by @Raider

It has been brought to our attention that @NCspecV81 has had a very unfortunate incident happen. Even though the ECU Relocation extension cable does not appear to be the cause of this event, we want to be able to ensure the quality of our products. We ask that anyone and everyone who has purchased the Ecu Relocation Bracket check as soon as possible the extension cable and the proper installation of the cable. Please triple check to make sure that the wiring is properly secure and the all metal contact is protect and covered by heat shrink, wire loom, and/or electrical tape.

We strive to only provide top quality products and do not ever want to have any of our products be a cause of any damage or inconvenience to anyone’s property. We have supplied 8 gauge wire currently with the product, but we can offer to supply any and all individuals with the ECU Relocation Bracket a thicker gauge extension cable along with additional heat shrink and wire loom at no cost. Please feel free to contact us via e-mail, phone, or PM if you would like us to ship out a thicker gauge extension cable as a precaution.

my old style patch cord melted down

what size fuse and cables are you guys putting in the new patch cords?

I'm reading that you're putting a 4ga aluminum cable

OE = 8 ga , max ampacity is 70a
TM = 4 ga alu = 100a
4 ga copper = 125a

if you're putting a 100 or 125a fuse, you're potentially putting the OE wiring as the weak point in the system, and may jeopardize the OE wires.

IMO you want the fuse or patch cord to pop or burn up before OE wiring. I think isolating that mechanical nut&bolt is the biggest problem w/ this setup.
