Default only reading 10psi

so the dealer put in a brand new k04 for warranty work and now my boost gauge is peaking at only 10psi. What could cause this?

sounds like its running just off spring pressure. if it was just worked on by the dealership, i would take it back to them and have them fix what they fucked up. suggest looking at the boost control solenoid

ok, they said theyll look at it.

Quick question though. Now that its only peaking at 10psi, shouldnt i feel a significant difference in power? The car seems to drive fine as far as i can tell.

it doesnt feel like it.. would that be a huge difference in power?

what all should i check for leaks? Im gonna replace that cheap clear hose for the gauge that they give you with some actual vacuum hose. dont know what else i would check though.

ok so that didnt work, ended up running a line straight from the bpv to the gauge without going through the firewall to eliminate kinking and still only reading 10psi.

ok, so i finally got a chance and picked up a dash hawk. Hooked it up and did some runs. Still only peaking at 11psi and dropping back down to around 10psi. What could be causing this?

No, only because after reading a few threads about the same issue. All of them tried the dealership, said it ran fine and sent them on their way.

Where is the boost solenoid located? How can I check if it's bad or connected correctly.

you decided based on other threads that going to the dealer, who caused the problem, won't work. now you can't even determine the correct connection set up of the parts yourself.

hmm, can't take it somewhere. can't do it yourself.

well, i guess you're fucked.

You've been given a couple suggestions already. Your response was why those won't work. What else do you want?
